I've owned this car since 2016 when I traded it for my first road going car (rover mini) that I bought for Ā£600! This wee pug lead to the inevitable obsession with old Peugeots, especially dirty derv xuds which can take a serious beating whilst running on anything vaguely oil related before taking a conrod related hissy fit...

This is the culprit that proved that, clocked up some serious mileage in the time I owned it fairly tuned bosch and T2 running on a mix of waste veg oil, waste engine oil and mix fuel that I got from the garage I work at. Was very rarely anything other than thrashed till she spat a rod starting! Anyways back to the 205, I drove the car on and off for a few years replacing headgaskets and turning lucas pumps into doorstops along the way and generally having a great time doing so!š Eventually creaking beams and rust induced boot floor ventilation meant that I was going to have to take it off the road for some light repairs that should take maybe a few weeks at most... (still currently in pieces) More updates of crusty French tin welding, dirty derv tuning and generally cursing at 25 years worth of rust, underseal and muck falling on my face š” So if that's your sorta thing stay tuned! š

Always wanted a 205, my granddad had a Turbo diesel in late 80's early 90's which was a rocket compared to most diesels at the time
Looked at a few STDT years ago but they were all dogs sadly so never bought one. Then started looking at GTis when they were around Ā£3-4k for a minter but I decided that was way too much! Wish id paid that now as an investment!
STDT is the best spec, colour and engine in my opinion even quite like the weird velour interior

Had a sorrento green 1.6 Gti in the early 2000s. Granda had two shopping spec 205s and my mates sister a bright yellow J plate.
Great wee cars and i'd love another!
Look forward to more updates on this! š

My Uncle had an STDT, I test drove it for him and it was brilliant! They've completely disappeared now.

I had one when I was in my 20s. I preferred it to the 1.9gti I had all my 30s
I did 150,000 miles of driving it like I stole it, treating the throttle an on off switch, tail out at every opportunity and Sunroof open to let the beige velour cool!
It got 45 to the gallon no matter how I abused it, and cost me a driveshaft, some rear shock absorber bushes and servicing and tyres.
It got written off by someone rear ending me on the a5 near Milton Keynes. Amazing cars. Totally disappeared, but Iād have another in a heartbeat.

Cheers for the comments folks might get me through the French tin weldathon yet!
Anyway what started off as a few patches in the boot floor ended up in a full strip of the underside, both rear bumper brackets and numerous other patches underneath the fuel tank area and rear jacking points. And that's only the rear... š¬ pics to follow when I can get them to upload!

Welding and finish isn't great but learing as I go and I'm sure its at least marginally stronger than a big rust hole š
Then decided to buy an even rustier but motd 1.6 gti that somewhat diverted my attention for a whiley, good fun tho! I then put it into storage to get back to cracking on with the stdt! That brings us upto about Oct 2018 so plenty more to come when I have time š
