Back in January tiny bought a fiat 126 to restore. We where told car could stay where it was until we where ready. Then corona virus broke out, long story cut short he sold it on him left him in tears. So I said I would get him something to play with not bad for a 11 year old.

It's in amazing condition and drives just like a new car. I bought one 18month old in 1989 for 3k I forgot how nice they are to drive and that metro noise them make

he just had his friends round to see the car as no one believed him he got a car , he said wheres the keys ill start it up for them lol ,

I think the last time I saw an F-plate Metro in that condition it WAS 1989!! Great find - well done!

I think the last time I saw an F-plate Metro in that condition it WAS 1989!! Great find - well done! My thoughts to a word!!!! Incredible - hopefully not too much welder action will be required!!!

no welding at all its a minter tiny bits of tiding paint the rims , steam wash engine bay ,its fully serviced

That’s lovely, must be a really late mk1? Edit: Actually I think it’s mk2 because of the dash.... but the headlights make it look like my mk1, I’m confused. Hopefully someone will be along to explain

That's a Mk2 if I am not mistaken Were the headlights a spec thing then? I vaguely remember the hls having headlights with indicators built in

I thought the facelift came in 1984 along with the introduction of the 5-door and the "TD" steel wheels? Happy to be corrected if I am wrong.
