When tiny is learning to weld he really should have gloves on. This will stop sparks hitting the back of his hand and putting him off trying. Also get him to use his left hand as a steady and the welds will improve. Well done for teaching him early, these skills will last a lifetime. Norman

Well tinys metro tank sender unit wan t working, so I found one on ebay. Year model all right so I bought it for him for his birthday 12,friend James Cooke ie Darby came down tonight and I asked him if he would fit it. Drop exhaust drop front of tank move a few things and drain tank, Take sender unit out, opened new one straight away i could see it was wrong. Tinys is held with a retaining ring, New would ring of srew holes like a beetle. Darby stripped ole one and said the wire from sender to live feed had rotted of so he made a new one and soldered it on. Job done. I contacted vender on ebay saying the unit I bought was right but what they sent was t the same thing or close doh. Right one I bought What they sent not even close or as described

It’s a nut underneath the carb on an SU. Not sure which way is richer or leaner though.

Over the last month we have 2 swallow nest along side the metro. Tiny wee nest no bigger than your fist and she rear 5 chicks in it, this morning I came out to find them all standing on the beam next to the nest. , I run in to get the camera to get a pic, ting calls them our African friends. But when I put the camera up they all flew the smallest one landed on the metro roof

Paintwork looks like its come up nicely after a mopping.
This beauty is in the Lakeland motor museum up here in cumbria. About as factory fresh as one could ever be.

That looks brilliant. Saw it advertised the other day and then found the thread. Great stuff.
