If it still existed, I'd buy back the Lada estate my mum had when I was a child - it was the Fiat 124 based round-headlight type, in beige. Brown plastic interior. It was shonky as hell, but we loved it! Sadly it was scrapped in the mid 90s and is unlikely to have been rescued. Although sometimes I like to think it's out there somewhere, in someone's garage or in a barn.....but it's almost certainly bean cans.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

There have been plenty of cars that I've wanted, but when they come up for sale I've not had the money/space/whatever. Loads of cars I wish I'd hung on to - Mk5 Cortina 2.3 Ghia, Rover SD1 3.5VP, Mk2 Escort 1.6 Ghia (2 door), Mk4 Cortina 2.0S, Mk1 Granada 3.0 Ghia, Mk1 Escort 2 door shell, RS1600i, Mitsubishi Celeste - but you can't keep them all, can you! There was a car in Street Machine about a hundred years ago which I vowed I would own someday - a Mk2 Zodiac with a blown Chevy V8. Apparently its still owned by the same guy and has been in a lock up, unused for years. One day!

I would buy my Polo Coupe S back in a flash but its more than likely dead. D592AUY Was my first car after I passed my test and I loved it. If I got it back it would be completely restored regardless of cost and would gain a GT engine. I keep trying to get in contact with the owner now because apparently its languishing out side his mams house but to no avail.
Also My 9 turbo. Should never have bought it but shouldn't have sold it either!! Other bonus is I know its roadworthy now!

Nightmares, was that the old Baldachinno van you used to own? That beast was one of the iconic cars of it's era and influenced so many young car modifiers at the time. It was the cause of me owning a J4 van at the tender age of 17, I even did my driving test in it which caused the tester a bit of a worry;D Aah, the memories!

I want my ol' Bimmer back. My first car (ya, rly ) was a 735i, October 1979, reg. LPP 440 V. Anyone seen it? It was an auto and smoked like a tramp with a 60-a-day habit, it had rotten wings and the sunroof (steel Webasto FTW) didn't work. But it went like STINK and was the envy of my school mates! I had the Bimmer when I was 17. I had to get rid of it in the days before I knew better... but BOY do I miss it! Wish list? Well, since you ask... Ford Capri Mk. 1 with X-Pack and a 331 cu. in. V8... Rover SD1 with a few, err, mods... AC Cobra 427 Mk. 3, oh yeah baby ... Aston Martin DBS... BMW 3.0 CSL Batmobile... A nasty Escort with a silly YB one day... Blimey - there are soooo many more too! Wake up at the back... "I'm"

Pukka E21 Alpina 335 BnD offered me, but it was in bits and I couldn't face another project. Likewise a very pimp bright orange 6 series (blown engine, but second car for engine and spares) when there was no room at the inn . A HS chevette also springs to mind but I never did get hold of the owner, then it disappeared. Oh, and half the stuff me and JS used to see council ticketed when we were kids ( 1.8 TC Marina Coupe, various Escorts etc)! Can't think of any of my own I'd like back, but I would love either my dads Daytona yellow (with black vinyl roof, naturally) Mk3 Tincorner or the 2.5 manual V6 Mk1 Granny in Jack Regan gold. Seriously . The one I did actually get is the Mini. Used to see it in the shed when I was a kid and say I wanted it, to be told they'd never sell it. Oh and even if they did I'd never be able to use it on the road, cos it was a race car. I make that two up to me! ;D
