My plan is to remove the veranda, use those boards to replace or repair the rotten boards and because it's 20 something mm tongue and groove put it back up inside out, so the almost perfect inside is now outside.
Sunday, after my Mum went home (she had been visiting for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner), the wife and I set forth cleaning the timber with a wire brush, then painting on Cuprinol 5 star wood treatment.
Today we cleared the area, then got back to cleaning and protecting the timber, the base turned out to be rather more rotten than I had hopped so £180 worth of B&Q fence posts and I built a much stronger base.
The Wife chose sage green, so I slapped on a base coat and had a trial Build
The next few evenings will be spent painting on many miles of sage green.
