Went to newark autojumble today. Bought a ton of old 70s car mags and a couple of burgers. Met up with Benzboy and Street as well as running into a few mates there.
The jumble is not as good as it used to be but the number of cars seems to go up and up. I reckon a good 300 today.
I nearly bought a car off this guy once. It was also a Plymouth Fury wagon. Logistics stopped that one though.
This was for sale.
Potential in Rootesland.

Not the most obvious candidate for a pickup conversion really.
The jury is still out IMO.
I think my mate Steve owned this. Love 875s. They are mad. they use a low comp Imp van engine. Use the 875 saloon engine and they can wheelie. Use a 998 engine and they go mad. a chap from the Bond club fitted a tuned 1275 in one and got 140 out of it before he chickened out.
Lee, this is what a Corsair looks like all together, just in case you forgot... ;D
Now someone who knows his 105Es told me all bout this car ages ago. Apparently is a silver jubilee special and its in its original paint. Not sure what its the silver jubilee of, but the jubilee editon is well rare. So now you know.

Superb P4 with flying eyeball aerial topper....
Pyg van still a regular.
I recon you can get this SVA'd and shove a V8 in it. Or some daft truck turbo diesel in there with big chrome stacks, remove the oil drum thing and fit a DJ's box, some PA and cruise the streets playing "I've got a brand new combine harvester" at top volume. YAH!
This was sold by 11:15 am.

WTF?? Its a Simca Talbot pickup thing! Wow!
£2495 seemed a little strong to me but "life on mars retro drift not Mk1 Escort"
Nice 100A and a Renner 4. Hillman in the background acts as a discrete chaperone. We wouldn't want any funny business now.
