So I purchased this unrestored but heavily bodged Jupiter a few years ago
I had intended on keeping it & restoring it for myself - however with another 2 Jupiter projects in the wings that I already own I was persuaded to sell this one to a fellow club member - but only on the understanding that a full restoration was commissioned on the car through my workshop - I have a 18 month delivery timescale and I am going to need all of it !
The car was displayed at the NEC Restoration Show in 2018 on the Barnfinds stand
Subsequently the car returned to the NEC Restoration Show in 2019 and was about 80% stripped on the Jowett Car Club stand
Engine has just been rebuilt by a specialist whom just happens to be a club member and various other smaller items are away being rebuilt / refurbished - time waits for no one and there are very long lead times on certain items / services such has rechroming - hence I collected all the chrome for stripping and commenced to part it down to a component form
Bumpers will require straightening up
Along with new studs that will require welding in - all before the chromer gets his hands on them
Some quite delicate dismantling required although everything is rusted solid and hence will have to be drilled out of the windscreen frame
Better start the long parts required list - although this is a rare little car - only 901 built and one of circa 400 surviving - not all parts are available - especially outer body panels - has usual it will taxing every inch of my long acquired skills
