Fukk, thats a peice of 5hit masquerading as a mustang peice of 5hit. Whoever though that calling it a mustang should have blunt knitting needles hammered through their testicles while pepper grounds are massaged gently in thier eyes and a hot poker shoved up their . PS Jag wheels are the same as chevy bolt pattern. Bad day today Mark? Not the best actually, no. But it astonishes me how the designers( - can they be called that???) offer us up some completely bland bit of euroregs blobby curse word and try to sell us a turd with some sprinkles on it and try to blindside us by linking it to something that was actually worth having. Hey everyone, do you like my new car? - nah it looks a dull modern blob. But it's a Mustang!!! - OH WOW, ITS FANTASTIC, WE LOVE IT! - LOOK AT THOSE POWERFUL SEXY HAUNCHES AND THOSE TRIANGULAR TRI-MITRE, TRICERATOPS FRONT LIGHTS....WOW!!!! Gullible curse word most modern millenials......

See, Rob's thinking. He's anticipating and problem solving. This is real foresight and creative thinking. You lot can learn a lot from Rob. don't just say stuff that pops into your head.

One of my fondest memories of my stint in Elky's workshop was the time I had a little panic when I realised my car didnt have a lock for the rear tailgate.

Get all the angst out. I'll go first. I cant get an erection any more. Even Viagra doesnt help. Who wants to go next...

In other news, I spotted this tonight in this month's practical classics, spares car? or just haggle/swap the wheels If I had somewhere to stick that I'd probably consider buying it. It would be a useful carcass to pick. But one is enough for me. I already have two transmissions, two rear axles and a bunch of other spare parts I need to find a home for.

It just doesnt have a touch of Mustang. Anywhere. When I saw it I thought it had a sight more than a touch of Mazda. And never mind the A-Team and the Dooks, wait 'til you get Jeepney drivers start reminiscing...

The ElCo provided sterling service this morning as a tip hauler. It was stacked to the rafters with cr4p we don't need anymore. Finally got rid of the rotted-to-hell wooden bench from the back garden that my wife persisted in begging me to repair despite the fact that every single piece of it was sodden with wet rot. Goodbye bench. Finally.
So handy to have a pickup/van/truck again.
So then I went for a blast along my old regular pleasure run that I used to do daily in the Scim. A long winding country B road. I had that road down pat in the Scim and could throw it hard into each bend in confidence.
Not so much the ElCo. Much bigger, much less confident brakes, a whole lot more inertia.
It's a very different kind of power to the small, light, manually geared Scimitar. The Scimitar basically did what I told it to do. It was fairly instantaneous. I could brake late at a sharp bend and it would do that and go round the bend as requested.
The power in the ElCo kind of builds and accumulates as it goes along. I can floor it along a straight but when I let off it's almost like the weight of the car creates a brenchluss effect and it feels like it's still accelerating after I've stopped telling it to. Its illusory, in the same way that sliding on ice accidentally can create the sense you're going faster because your brain expected to be going slower. It must be the sheer weight of the thing barreling it along.
A couple of full fat adrenaline flushes persuaded me to treat it more like a cruiser than a bruiser.
I must think about improving the brakes before I start taking liberties with the car.

It is perfectly put... although the Ford presentation man didn't call them 'haunches' he called them 'hunches' over and over again. Hunches. It had Mustang hunches. I had to gnaw my fist throughout to stop myself shouting "HAUNCHES!" every time.

HMRC telephone hold music is clearly designed to demoralise small business owners. Edit: There's a YouTube of it... ^ Listen to that for 90 minutes and gain new insights into the parlous state of our SME economy.

I had a classic mustang, the only resemblance is it's the same colour, so yeah classic mustang through and through....ballbag. I had the none classic Mustang some years back, the one everybody hated, still better than the EV abomination. Very slight Elco lines in a way, I thought the grubby slotmags suited it @@thousandwords

Very slight Elco lines in a way, I thought the grubby slotmags suited it @@thousandwords They really were a strange iteration of Mustang those, weren't they. It's got Mustang touches (or 'hunches' as they now seem to be called according to Ford's EV division) but they're all kind of condensed onto a much smaller platform, and all look a little fake, like a body modification kit. Like grizz though, I would very happily have one... although it might get tickled by my Mad Max make-over kit if I did. To be really honest I used to really dislike Fox Body Mustangs because I just couldn't see how they were Mustangs at all. But I've grown to love those now. I still don't really see that they're Mustangs, not really, but there are some awesome street Fox bodies out there so I love them despite the disparity between look and branding. [/img] ^ There's a tasty 'no picture' of a lovely Fox Body, in keeping with the current 'no picture upload' snafu on RR.I hope you agree it's a damn fine example!

My thoughts were along these lines too. I certainly do not like an emotion as strong as hate in this context, maybe โDid not get it at the timeโ But they have a life all of their own, not a Mustang in the traditional sense, but something interesting and different. Must have been a money loser for them at the time. I still see the remnants of a pimpmobile in the shape, but happy to own one, just because I can.
