So the bad news I hear you say. Well apperently the masking tape phone mount didn't work. And the phone exited stage left first time I tickled the throttle. So I had a 15 minute video of the floor Did it record any nice sounds ? That might tide us over until the full send ...

But I never Evan thought and deleted the 15 minutes of floor mat and rubbish rolling round on floor! It's going for test Tuesday. I'm setting off early early. So il make sure I film a bit on the lanes on the way in! Promise haha.

Oh well...
Promising that you could offend the neighbours for so long though.
Fingers crossed for the visit to the man from the ministry.

Nothing like a good news story, nice to hear. At this rate you're only concerns will be keeping rear tyres on it and watching out for speed cameras! Rock on.

Rock on. The standard tyres will cry enough very quick haha. I'm hoping the wide ones fair slightly better.. That's also a valid point. I've not noticed if the Speedo is working or not haha. Cheers

So it's Tuesday which means... Well... Monday night bit of finishing off to do.. grabbed some big old hose for the driver's side cam cover breather and buttoned that up. It's a bit big and bulky but it does the job. long-term il get some nice little fittings welded to the covers and run some small bore hoses. They don't seem to breath much when there healthy anyways. Emptied 18months of rubbish out of it. Checked all levels and decided it's probably wise to carry some tools and a tow rope so got those loaded in ready for maiden voyage tuesday morning.. Speaking of also wise figured it was probably a good idea to carry a fire extinguisher. So grabbed a little 1kg jobby to carry. I know it won't do much.. but something's has got to be better than nowt I'm sure Threw a bucket of water over it and settled down for night in anticipation of today.. Up bright and early this morning. Beat my alarm and was like a kid at Christmas. Despite the fact it's all insured. Declared and was genuinely on its way (indirectly) to a pre-booked mot I felt like a criminal driving away haha So how does it drive. Well when it's cold it's lumpy and jerky and snatchy. But it works. As it warms up it gets better. Loads better. To the point it starts making faint boosty noises... Then once warm it goes a bit rough again almost like a 3500rpm rev limiter. I'm not sure if there is some safety set in this map and the temp isnt right in relation to what's happening.. but that's a job for tuner to sort. Pulled up a few mile from home and popped the bonnet for a quick check over and grabbed a terrible pic while I was there.. Made it the rest of the way into work drama free although one brake was smoking slightly for a little while. Jumped in van and set off to Peterborough for a job. Back at work early afternoon. No time like the present. One last check over and off for test. Seemed to be in good company at the test station. It's first time I've seen it properly up in air and it all seems quite solid. Well very solid tbh So after waiting what seemed like an age. And being conscious of it turning into a kettle while they had it running. I got the news!..... ITS ONLY GONE AND MOTHER TRUCKIN PASSED!!! it's been off the road years and years. Was destined for the crusher when I salvaged it as a non runner. And it's been in bits 12+ months. And it works. Couldn't really be happier.. and can't argue with the advisory either haha Journey home was much the same as journey there. With another stop on the lanes near me for a once over and check of fluids and what not.. I also whipped the super silencer 9000 out cus well... I'm a child. Yep. I can confirm that wakes it up it made all the right noises along with boost noises. Til it switched itself off. Again guessing map related as I don't know what safety paremeters are set. Back home in one piece. I'm proper happy. That been said I've more to do than I realized for Saturday but will go into that soon. For now. It's beer o'clock and a chill out night. Oh and I may have a little video (filmed on a closed private road of course).. will try and upload that later. Thanks for sticking with me this far! I didn't think this day would come! Cheers!!

I love the "Exhaust noisy (No similar vehicle to compare it to ...." - well duh !
Most excellent news sir. Beer o'clock indeed !
All we need now is the dyno sheet showing 517bhp and the drift video (use something more substantial to secure the phone this time) !!

I mean tbf I suppose there covering themself cus it is noisy.. but not a normal model so what's "noisy"... And if I'd not had today's thought there's be no Dyno or drift vid lol. All in good time tho (clutch will not take 500bhp I know that for a fact haha) Cheers
