The transit custom is available with air suspension, it basicaly uses the front half of the spring and a panhard rod. There is also a good chance you are going to have wind up problems with a single leaf, if you were to do the above reinstate the original leaves with the back cut off. Have you got any pictures or more details that i can look at, sounds interesting

Thanks, i did have a look about late last night. Found these 2 picture, this is the sort of idea i was playing with. looks like they use heavy flat bar, about twice the thickness of the standard leaf springs. They look like standard bushs in the front

The trailing link is a basically a tapered leaf spring which starts about the same thickness as a normal spring at the eye and is about an inch thick by the time it gets to the axle, it needs to have a bit of flex to allow the axle to articulate.

Bedford cf's have the same tapered single leaf spring, enough rotten cfs around to rip some out of.

Not much progress at the moment, i have ordered some new rear lights, spoken to my friend who does ali work for me, he is happy to help me form a new rear panel. Still not 100% sure of the bed material I'm gonna use, i can use scaffold boards, ali checker plate or something else. Any thoughts or input welcomed I have now started to make up the bed outriggers i made up the 2 front ones, they needed to be about 1" wide to fit between the body and the storage boxes. Anyway photo time

If it were me dude, Id just keep the bed simple. A metal frame with some hardwood boards. Similar to this .

None for a little bit now as had an accident at work and just had an operation, was drilling a mudguard on a lorry and the drill snagged, resulting in a hole in my palm. Probably 2 weeks of rest till its back to usable. Hole ended being 20mm plus, no bone damage but managed to hit a nerve branch so potentially loss of feeling in my first 2 fingers, had the operation at 11 ish this morning and back home already. Waiting for the nerve blockers to wear of, hopefully will be soon as its a strange feeling.

owwwww..... nice of them to clean it up around the wound a bit for your you! Lol this was pre operation, they gave it a bloody good clean in theatre. 2 am i finally got the feeling back in my fingers, my palm is sore but nothing to bad, i managed to put my piercings back in this morning and held the small balls properly so hopefully no sensation loss due to the nerve damage. Inly time will tell

Not much happening with my truck at the moment just letting my hand heal, I have however just received my new rear lights. Gonna make up a new rear light panel to mount them in, hopefully help modernize the truck a little bit. How and i have now also picked up 2 15" wheels that i plan to get banned to 11" or 12" wide, well that depends if they will fit over the rear brakes. Not sure witch way to mount the lights yet, i am leaning towards this style on the back of this truck, any thoughts or ideas let me mnow please

Last one please. IMHO slanted rear lights always look dated and homemade.

Last one please. IMHO slanted rear lights always look dated and homemade. I have to agree with this. Last is best.

As the others have said about them being slanted, but I’d choose to put them horizontal.
