Personally I'd hold on to it. Prices are creeping up now (not ideal given I've a serious intention of owning one - albeit a slightly later Silver Spirit - ABS and fuel injection just seem worthwhile things to have) so there's great potential to in a couple of years doing the terrible "Wish I'd not sold that...may be I should get another one..." only to have that dream dashed when you see what they're changing hands for! I've a habit of doing that.
They really are cars like no other though. I was utterly hooked after being lent a Spirit by a friend for a couple of weeks.
The only thing really putting me off is the degree of financial roulette one plays buying one. You can pay ten grand and up for a mint looking car with all the right service and overhaul history, yet can then still get stung when something goes ping after a few weeks. Especially if it's not been in regular use, disuse seems to be the absolute nemesis of these motors. Or do you take a gamble on a notionally cheaper one...but in the full knowledge that even a full service is going to cost more than I've paid for many cars!
It's a quandary I've yet to figure out myself...even though I've fully figured out that there's no such thing as a cheap one...the choice is just catastrophically expensive or ruinously expensive!
