Popped along to this meet, only about a mile from home so it would have been rude not to. Fibreglass mini, looks to have an a-series in it, but with an aluminium head (I thought I took a picture of the engine but aparently not!) Dish? Anyone know what these wheels are? made me chuckle I'm sure this was in Street Machine Magazine back in the early 90s - if not it was one very like it. Jaaaag.

It turns out I did take a picture of the engine of that mini! Shows the variety of cars on show.

Anyone know what these wheels are? Look to me like Dunlop D1s stripped and polished/painted. Wrong, the holes are too square, must be Exactons? images.app.goo.gl/A3SskGXdCHmdnaNp8

Nice selection of pics, is it going to be a regular thing do you know?
Think I'd be taking that Jag home.

I think the organisers were hoping it would be, but it was entirely dependent on people not driving like idiots when they leave, which unfortunately a handful did, so it seems touch and go whether it will happen again.

This is the second meet at Hurt Wood Polo Club ive been to and this latest one was much bigger, well organised, great variety of cars and enthusiasts willing to chat cars n stuff. Worth looking out for if held again soon. As we drove out the gate one of the marshalls asked if we enjoyed the evening / nice touch to a great retro evening.

They look more like Brand Lotus wheels - fitted to Lotus Sevens and Europa etc.

Good to meet Zoom Pod & Son at the meet as well. Thanks quasimoto, great to catch up again and chat cars etc. As stated before, the meet was stopped due to peoples actions upon leaving the venue. The organisers have been told this time that if there was just one complaint the event would not be invited back. There were a few being stupid when leaving and the police car on site left with blues and two's going, followed by a bike group turning up on the limiters and burning out, however, on another forum the most local neighbour to the venue stated that he thought it was extremely well run and well worth a look. It would seem that there are quite a fair number of us local to maybe have a get together there. As to the Smart car, I overheard the owner telling a chap that he'd accept offers in the region of 26k......

Shame a good well thought out meeting gets spoilt and with the Stevenage issue getting the wrong press needed for such events to continue its not looking good but also attended an evening meet at The Owl Kingsfold end of last summer / very sedate without people giving it the beans as they left.

It's a dream build tbh, there isn't much I'd change about it. I used to loathe the fibreglass mini's (for no reason :/) but after owning a half dozen normal minis, I'd own one that doesn't rust in a heartbeat.
