Had a pretty good day at Brands Hatch yesterday for the Historic Masters. Saloon cars, Historic F1, Sports Cars and a pretty crazy race series over from the continent that was a bit of 'anything goes' fun with a real variety of machines - quite a few old ones far too modified to run in any historic class but really great racing to watch. Also walekd right the way round for the first time, finding interesting new spots to spectate and to take pictures. The sound of the F1 cars as they sped at full pelt down Pilgrims Drop was epic. An assortment of photos:
This is a modern small block Chevy in a Triumph Spitfire, ont eh original chassis. BMW 850 diff and cv jointed halfshafts but original front suspension.
An Elva. My dad learnt to drive in one of these (he already had a bike licence but a freind had a Courier at the time.)
