What are the 3 indicators that winter will soon be here? 1. The clocks go back. 2. It gets bloody cold and dark. 3. Rian calls me and tells me 'WE" have another K5 to get back on the road... P. I was thinking earlier how boring it is around here without this thread!

Looks lovely, but about three times what my hobby toy budget is. Thank you for posting anyway. Right now, unless something interesting, quirky or irresistible kind of falls into my lap unexpectedly at silly money, if you look in Prozac The Berlingo’s thread, you will see that after 4 years, I am preparing to start back on the C10 bodywork.

Choked on my bread roll and tea there. Yes Paul, It’s going to be a long, cold winter. If the snow comes. What are the 3 indicators that winter will soon be here? 1. The clocks go back. 2. I have a few threads I follow too that are my first and last stops every day. Let’s see what winter cooks up. Right now, nothing.

So what's the blazer look like now in it's new paint or do we have to wait? I am really good at sticking to my word so will keep it quiet till the buyer gives me the go ahead. Its way from spectacular but a long way from what I bought a year ago And equally far from what he bought from me. I think some will hate it (those who just don’t get it) and some will love or like it. As Paul Y and some others have mentioned, we gave it another lease on life, rather than £££’s in profit from breaking what turned out to be a really nice 40 year old truck, let down by my description of it and dead paint. I like what its become. And it’s also a Retrorides child.

Grizz, did you get any pictures of the Blazer, after it was prepped for its movie role? :sip: Question from another forum. Realised I had not added it here. Unfortunately my word is my bond. The buyer asked me to sit on the photos he sent till end February when filming wraps up. So I need to keep it that way. Interestingly while in the USA in Hannibal with Craig last year we were looking for a very specific toy truck for him in Walmart. Five different stores in over 150km with no success. But Craig found me a Die Cast 1:24 model of the Blazer painted up in the colours in which it has now been painted and accessorised Pure luck. Bought it for $20.00 and brought home. You can come take a look. I also have a similar 1:24 model of my 66 C10 with great detail gifted to me years ago by a friend in America May be a while before the C10 looks like this tough. .

Rian - I'm hoping that it will look a lot better than that - the gaping on the door aperture and the fit of the bonnet towards the rear edge is bloody awful

I cannot remember what I shared and who is up to date with the Blazer after I sold it the day before heading out to America last year. It got picked up, along with a Camaro on a transporter and got taken to Herefordshire From there both cars went in for a bit of a make over. Body and paint. Note all the old colours coming through. Hugger orange, original blue and the white plus primer. A few days later the change was notable. .

Given the colour scheme, and the mention of a Camaro, I’m going with it being used by Secret Cinema for their Stranger Things show.

I saw this in the flesh at the Secret Cinema event.
Knew straight away it was the same one. Looked properly awesome in the flesh, they'd done you proud!

Weird how it has nothing to do with me, but still feel chuffed and proud.

Once out the paint shop, the next step was to hide the Blazer in plain sight. This would be followed by lights and further details being added. I really like this shot. At this point I was travelling around the USA with Craig, Dennis and Adam on the 2019 road trip. After Dennis and Adam flew out from Tulsa, we carried on and eventually made it back to St Louis. One of our touch points had to be Going back to Hannibal to go see our friend the 100 year old shop keeper. Sadly, she had fallen during the preceding year and broken a hip, then sold her shop, and we missed out on her. On the way back we stopped at a local Walmart to look for a small Chevy truck for Craig.......... Suddenly he called me on WhatsApp, I was in a different part of the shop, so went to where he was in the toy section. Look at what he found. $20.00 Chuffed a heck !!! So....... The Blazer ended up in a new series of Netflix And of course it’s spawned Lego models. And that concludes the evolution of “Not a Project” Much fun for not a lot of cash. Hope you guys liked it.
