Taking the dogs out for their normal Sunday morning walk I noticed a few nice classics around, then passing Wootton Bassett Rugby club there was a large gathering of cars. So on the way back I popped in to see what was going on (I left the dogs in the car but with windows and sunroof open and they had some water after their walk).
The event was the Devizes and District Motor Club's (DDMC) classic tour. I had a wander round the car park;

p.s. These are only phone shots as I wasn't expecting to this and din't have the big camera with me (anyway the best camera to have is the one that's with you).

I do like Triumphs, (looking at the door of the Vitesse I don't feel quite as bad about my MX5).

The 80's wants is car back, judging by the seats there may be more to this one than meets the eye.

It's an Alfa is there any-more to say, the driver did say that he only bought it because his Gilbern was playing up (note Welsh flag on wing)

This was probably one of the most valuable cars there given the prices of old Fords, it was immaculate, Mercdan68 right up your street I would think, there was also a very nice MK2 RS2000. I didn't want to upset @quatermass by taking a picture of the immaculate Scimitar behind it.

Not a great MGB fan but this one looked so right, were knock-off minilite wheels a thing?

No sign of Dustin or Mrs Robinson come to that*. Looks good on the white steels though.
*somebody will probably pick me up and say that's not the same model as used in the film, I have no idea, it's a joke. OK now I've done a quick Google search and I'm pretty sure it is the same model.

The more I see these front mounted spot lights the more it makes me want to fit a set to the MX5 (I know it would look terrible).

This sums it up, nice cars, great weather and people enjoying themselves.
I think I'll be joining the club, if they'll have a scruffy MX5. The fact that the club meetings are held in the pub next to the Wadworths brewery has nothing what so ever to do with it....
