these two i found on a facebook group after researching ayelsbury dutton forshaw which was the dealership that sold my land rover in 1982 and again in 84 Wow, imagine being the guy who paid £4395.00 for the Marina/Ital Estate (I think it's the latter) That would have been a ton of money then. I bet as he was driving that home he felt like he had been 'Royally Shafted' by the salesman there, poor old sap My dad bought a silver MG Montego from there in 1987 (D265 LWL, long gone). 31 years later, and I can see that very forecourt from my bedroom window! It's now a Stratstone Land Rover / Range Rover dealer.

My dad had a blue/grey Montego 1.6L for a company car (D296 CLU). It lasted up until around 1997, a couple of years longer than your dad's MG Monty.
IIRC, it had one of the then new-fangled 5-speed VW gearboxes, with a rather baulky gearchange.
It did look rather nice though - I'd wash it most weekends.

Some people had strange ideas. This was one of them... Taken in Clacton, July 1986. Yes, the old Sinclair C5, he was waaaay ahead of his time, which ironically ended up being his downfall. It has to be said, they were a bit curse word, but look where we are now, with ‘leccy’ vehicles.

My 205 GTI has a Dutton Forshaw sticker in the front screen, it has a DW reg suffix, Cardiff. Was there a Cardiff branch? It's been here in Ireland since '92

a recreation of the photo would be great...but in the present day the sprite would be dwarfed by the aa t5 and the "totty's" fake chest , puffed up lips , caterpillar eyebrows and lap-dancer heels would stop her ever driving such a petite little thing! I drove past today and snapped a quick pic (whilst stationary obvs!)

Results so far Why oh why did they have to pick a place with a ford in it! Nice place though, i wonder if it still looks like that. Firstly, what a brilliant read this thread has been! With regards to the location in Eynsford, seems over the years it's become quite the spot! I have the original pre-production Saxo VTS that Citroen used for it's press duties and at the time(1996), it was photographed extensively around Eynsford and Brands Hatch. Guess where Autocar also took it at the time... 20180811_192252 by Daniel Whitworth, on Flickr As mentioned about the Healey above, once the car has been restored I do intend to take it back to all the locations to replicate the shots. Skinnylew, with your good knowledge of the local area, I don't suppose you happen to be able to place this location at all do you? 20180811_191909 by Daniel Whitworth, on Flickr I'm aware one of them is the Brands Hatch start line but the other three....? If you know, I'd be a very happy chappy!

Firstly congrats on having the Saxo, that'll be increasing in value hand over fist over the next few years, there aren't any mk1's around anymore! Personally i prefer it's older brother but Saxo's have their uses As for the pics i'd be surprised if that was local, I certainly haven't seen it before however thinking about it somewhere on the North downs/Kent Weald area would possibly have that fern/bracken foliage and possibly that elevation. Does look quite Highland/North Yorkshire moors-esque but not inconceivable it's within a few miles.....

Not anywhere round here that I know either, could be ashdown forest or the rocks near Crowborough but given the scenic background I'd say York moors or exmoor etc.
