Gear box mounts up nicely with the plate Really happy with it, has all the correct locating lugs already made for it. 😎    |

Many moons ago, my friend was wondering arounf wheels day and spotted a peppermint green 100e with a blower sticking out of the bonnet. We rushed over to get a looksie and it was fitted with a 2.8 carb'd cologne engine with a Wade blower and 5speed box. The owner was the son of a local MOT station/accident repair station. My pal was looking to buy something so enquired if he had a price in mind. They settled on 3k and the next day it was his. On our 1st outing, it ran terribly limpy so we booked a session with Tom Airey on his rolling road. On the way, one of the rear wheels was vibrating really badly and when we stopped to look, we noticed the nuts were all loose. We jacked the car up and then the truth emerged.... What a total bodge! The builder had narrowed the Volvo axle to allow for 15x15 wheels but when he cam to buy them, they were not available so he bought 10x15's and fitted 5" - yes 125mm spacers to each side!!!! With bolts TACK WELDED to the hubs!! Car was a total death trap and never really saw the road again. (Yes it came with 12 months MOT)
Long story, so I'm sorry but thought I'd share. Yours will be a proper weapon!

It's 1st outing was to the Guildford cruise - driving at 60mph along the A31 dual Carriageway the bug catcher spun round where it was loose and jammed the throttle wide open. Much brown leakage before we shoved it into neutral and turned the ignition off! The whole car was a bodge. One of our friends came with us and as it had no back seats, he sat his skinny ass between the wheel tubs. He reckoned he could feel the whole car twisting on acceleration as it kept squeezing his ass!

It looks it but you have it in place.
The only thing I can see that may need a little adjusting is the tunnel to wards the back widening for a little clearance, so there is less chance of rubbing and noise.

I don't think you will need one as you power to weight ratio will give you loads of power straight out the box a turbo would just make it impossible to drive safely and unpredictable.

This has got to ba the best ever definition of mission creep, somehow a twin choke carb on a 1340 4 pot has morphed into a 3.0 v6 turbo. Can't wait to see where it goes next!
