Add another vote for swagey holes. There's something about them that makes something plain suddenly look very impressive indeed.
I bought mine as an eBay job lot. Not too expensive.
Looking good regardles though!

No swagey holes this time and no extra diagonals as its covered for that in spades. As seen below there is plenty of triangulation to prevent those uprights waving about side to side. Went straight out in the garage after closing the work laptop down and got cutting Few more tubes to cut and that sheet to remove. It should be lighter and stronger when finished but mostly free from the rot that was hiding there

Yep I'd say that's well triangulated! You have tested that the cage fits into the shell through the doors haven't you? Up to now ---- Many many times.

My lad surprised me last night with a nice gift. ... Dropped in on my old mate RB and picked up a few of the parts for the projects. Ported twin CD150 manifolds. An experimental intake Special single sidedraft manifold and a 40 DHLA Also picked these up out of his scrap bin - See if I can find out what they are capable of. Couple of deep groove pulleys - a separated s/h standard one and a special ultra small diameter 9000 rpm version Got one of these to make as well. Loads to do.

What's the plan with the experimental intake? I assume it's a bellmouth to fit the carb inlet, but is the little cone a plan to reduce the area down to something around the carb bore to improve velocity? Intriguing...

The pointy thing only just protrudes into the inlet of the radius block (bellmouth) and is much taller than the nominal required 0.25 x dia to ensure curtain area exceeds the opening diameter. There should be no change in velocity. If it provides any benefit in flow I am not entirely convinced but the proof will be seen when I will drop it onto the flow bench to evaluate it. What cannot be evaluated on the bench is if there is any benefit in way that the airflow is directed onto the carb bridge. The only other thing I can think of is that it may be a way of making the carb see the intake upstream as being longer than it is - In other words the stub is only 3/4" thick but the cone may make it appear like it has a 4" trumpet. You will not see any change in flow on a bench but it may well change the torque characteristic on a dyno. A G15 only has a couple of inches between the carb outlet and a chassis rail so no chance of nice long intake runner - One thing I do know is that the guy that raced this was very successful and a lot of the development work he was doing with Ian Carter on these engines was around improving the mid range torque.

Quick tea break and feed the hounds whilst the chassis cools down. - Hide a dozen biscuits in the garden and they are happy as for 10 minutes whilst I have a brew in peace. Getting there now - A few more tubes to cut, position and weld and then its flipping the chassis round a few times to complete the welds. Liking that much more.

Shed clearout is happening - I put an old imp Engine on eBay a while back to get it from under my feet and when the buyer dropped round he looked around at what was going on and asked if I had anything else I was thinking of getting rid of... Tomorrow he's dropping over for another collection.... I wish I could say it made a huge difference to the available space in the Sheds.

There’s never enough shed space! I like what you did with the chassis, it looks very nice. Cheers - I am quite pleased with how it turned out. I do need to extend the garage and gain a bit more workshop space - A project I have been talking about for about 5 years.
