How do I become a member of this? Do I have to prove I have no mates, if so I can get my mum to write a letter and describe my general bad attitude and the reasons why I have no friends. I am new to this so if I have the wrong impression please accept my apologies. If I can get the elky MOT`d and registered in time I'd like to attend...if there are tickets available???

One easy way is to move 10,000km, live in a very Philippine area with no expats, surrounded by people who think a car is for someone else to wash, drive and, when it breaks, service. One great advantage is that I don't need to worry about ticket availability either. Love the El Camino by the way.

Hey Elky, All you need to do is buy a ticket for RetroRides Gathering Goodwood. The club displays are on the SUnday. Once you have a ticket reference number let me know and I can provide you with the club stand number. Then you just have to fo to a online form and register your car for the BNMAC display. We'll take it on trust that you have no friends. Our policy is that anyone even considering applying for BNMAC is statistically unlikely to have ever had any friends. It's like applying for a residency at a leper colony. You just wouldn't do it unless you already had leprosy, so why waste time on a lengthy screening process. Also, are you anywhere near Angmering? reason I ask is that there's a very good MOT place for classics in Angmering. The owner is a hard core American auto bloke who's owned a whole bunch of amazing cars in the past. He's getting on a bit now so he's down to one 68 Mustang now, but him and his son look after a lot of classic cars for the Southern Classics club, and a lot of yanks in general. If you're short on MOT options for the Camino they might be a good touch.

Ahhh, possibly too far for you then. You probably have a good place much closer to home. FWIW the place I'm referring to is Parris Motors... www.parrisrepairsservice.co.ukAbsolutely rubbish website, of course!

Could I become a member and exhibit no car next to Georgeb please... Only if you exhibit random parts you’ve fabricated for people to guess their purpose.

Errrr.... I bought tickets. At no point during this process did it ask me to enter my club registration code. WTF This goddamned event seems to be more complicated than quadratic equations, why the hell can't it be more straightforward ? HoTWire, I'm talkin ta you What have I done wrong?

Stand by, there's an additional thing. I need to remember what it is but it's very easy once I remember... I'm sure it is. It's just another url/page that you go to to put your club number and car deets into and then you're done.

I've changed the first post in this thread to be less ambiguous. posting the revised text here too to give it a bump so it's clear to anyone reading this what this thread is about...
Opening post now reads:
We've got a club together for people who don't belong to any clubs, but who might want to display a car on Sunday at the RR Goodwood Weekender.
if you would like to join BNMAC (Billy No Mates Automobile Club) and have a suitably aged vehicle, then please drop a note in this thread and I will review and send you the BNMAC club code so you can register your car for display.
For reference, the place to book your car for display is here...
retroridesevents.com/CarEntry
but you'll need a club stand code to sign up, which I can provide you.
Post your interest in the thread or PM me for the code.
Thanks.
