We've got a club together for people who don't belong to any clubs, but who might want to display a car on Sunday at the RR Goodwood Weekender.
if you would like to join BNMAC (Billy No Mates Automobile Club) and have a suitably aged vehicle, then please drop a note in this thread and I will review and send you the BNMAC club code so you can register your car for display.
For reference, the place to book your car for display is here...
retroridesevents.com/CarEntry
but you'll need a club stand code to sign up, which I can provide you.
Post your interest in the thread or PM me for the code.
Thanks.

Name: Quatermass (Lord Throttler of the high table, BNMAC honorary emporer) Member number: 497 Vehicle: A rare and exquisite limited edition 'farm pond special' hand-built Reliant Scimitar GTE 'Leggera ' with bodge-pack and scratch-indifferent coachwork. Car features a variety of flora, fauna and dead insects on the intake manifold, various bits off other prestigious cars, various other bits that aren't there at all, some rare and highly collectible vintage electrical tape, and unique venting features to enable the driver to remain moist and highly refreshed in the British climateeven when the windows are shut. Hopes for the event: To remain aloof and unresponsive to social stimulus. Dietary requirements: Yes (and preferably fried) Event attire: Depressed alcoholic Name: Sammo (Actual Lord Montague of Ewell, BNMAC Sparker) Member Number: 270713 Vehicle: A vintage (circa late 90's/early 2000's) Volkswagen Caddy Van. Complete with workout windows and a semi working interior fan for those cold mornings. Previously owned by the right honourable "John the Builder" from Essex it sports the enviable feature of dents that stick out from the inside that have cracked the paint and proceeded to rust. This model is also the twin engined variant sporting the asthmatic 1.6 8v petrol engine up front that drinks more oil than petrol and then balanced precariously in the rear is the 2.3 V5 powerhouse complete with rather inadequate "small" ratchet strap. Hopes for the event: To arrive with the 2.3 V5 engine transferred from its current position to the up front area providing the Caddy with a little more oomph and hopefully garnering interest from onlookers (although I obviously won't be engaging any of the aforementioned onlookers in conversation!) Dietary requirements: Meat (of the cooked variety) Event attire: Weather dependant I shall be sporting the regal blue shorts complete with faded patches and a look of bewilderment at the sheer number of people all in one place!

Ahhh yes, the actual Lord Montague of Ewell. He'll be there. Only 298 places left. They're selling like hotcakes... in the sense that absolutely nobody ever buys a hot cake.
I'm always quite intrigued by those outy dents. I can only assume they start life as a mild inny dent, and then the builder who owns the vehicle at that time gets his masonry chisel and lump hammer up inside the body work to gently whack it back out again.
I also once had a twin engined vehicle. It was a panel van and went quite fast for what it was. Often people would say "What engine you got in this then mate?" and I'd reply, truthfully "An Essex V6 mounted in the back". I wasn't lying either, but it too was strapped to a palette.
Who's next...

There you have it good people of Retrorides... Admiral Frankenhealey plus his massive racing tortoise and an attractive lady will be on the BNMAC stand, presenting their cavalcade of vehicles with a combined power rating in excess of 16bhp. With that entry confirmed we now only have 188 spaces left.
I don't want to create a stampede, but things are coming to a climactic head here in the bookings office at BNMAC HQ, what what.

CONFIRMED...
JPR in his fabulous backless one-piece, and presenting the very pinnacle of German automotive achievement, or a BMW, depending on how things go.
The books will soon be closed on entries to this prestigious stand. Only 187 spaces left. You can almost cut the tension with a soft boiled egg here at BNMAC HQ.

TL:DR @quatermass (already got the gist of it mind) Name: BC (Norfolk NMRC founder member and as I smoke definitely a Sparker) Member Number: 0000 (looks like nobody has blagged that one and as I understand from the charter membership numbers are never re-used - so one that makes me a founding member and two it's relevant to me) Vehicle: Probably this - Lotus Type 104 Build numnber 0000g (the G is to signify UK) But if it's not ready in time (Frequently isn't) then it'll be this And if that's not ready in time (it hasn't been on the road since it dragged the Battered Monza to Prescott for a previous RRG) it'll be this Because quite frankly there isn't a snowflakes chance in hell of getting there in this underneath is that battered old Monza (Pic from Prescot) Please note people and notice I didn't use "the picture" from RR at Mallory in 2007 - I think that deserves some credit (it's been rather whored about TBH) Hopes for the event: To arrive in one of them (but if gewy is taking the truck and driving solo then as my teammate in the Paddock I will feel duty bound to roll with him and a non retro truck that every year does a mass of work behind the scenes of the RR shows we are involved in...... Of course he could bring one of his cars (Porsche 944 Turbo road & track car if it's ready) or A 4.0L Monza Track car (ex Modprod class) which would have to be trailered but would make a nice complement to the Thundersaloons on Saturday looked like this when he got it in which case one of them would be a substitute on the day for my slot or not at all Dietary requirements: never every been on one but I do like Gin and as Frankenhealey has already asked to join you I know my Gin needs will be covered (I'll bring the ice or tonic) Event attire: Saturday I will be in an Orange T-Short and Jeans, Sunday probably RRG T-shirt from 2017 if HoTWire has one left and put aside for me Trusting that this is all acceptable to the committee

We have incredible news coming in to the BNMAC press office at the moment. Not yet fully confirmed but it does seem very likely that our beloved founder, owner of the covetted 0000 membership number, BC, grand vizier of the entire house of sparky will be joining us on the stand with his, with a, bringing his...erm a number of...erre I don't know. I don't know what he's going to bring. It's too confusing. Something though. He'll bring something, and he'll drink everybody's gin.
186 spaces left. Or 185. Or... I don't know how many are left. He's thrown a spanner into the BNMAC abacus.
Let's play it safe and say there's 140 spaces left. Like in a tweet.

has the potential to pick up a club stand award As Lord Throttler of the high table and BNMAC honorary emporer, I naturally have no idea what's going on, and as I have never so much as seen a RR club stand I can confidently double-down on my pig ignorance.... because I have no idea at all what a club stand actually entails, and requires, nor was I aware that we would be in the running for an award. What do we actually have to do, and what is the judging criteria for the award? Because LET'S WIN THIS. LETS DO IT FOR EVERYONE OUT THERE WHO HASN'T GOT A FRIEND IN THE WORLD. LETS SHOW ALL THOSE SMUG, BEFRIENDED A**HOLES THAT IRREDEEMABLE UNPOPULARITY IS NOT A BARRIER TO WINNING A POPULARITY CONTEST.

Vehicle: EITHER One (1) Japanese sporting coupe made mostly from plastic and rust but featuring a engine made from triangles that works on pure voodoo which no-one not invested in arcane rituals on a blood moon can understand. In fact, we can't even talk about it. Move along there
OR One (1 more) German bulbous lump featuring an engine in the wrong place, designed by the Austrian engineering mafia about the point they decided to invade the entire world so no-one would notice how they'd built their car the wrong way round
Hopes for the event: To get there. It's at least 15 miles away, after all
Dietary requirements: Well, I do like a nice Scotch hegg
Event attire: recovering hippy

Ladies and gentlemen, Fresh&Minty will be on the stand, eating an armadillo and snorting coke.
Lucky Seven will be at the far edge of the BNMACstand 15 miles away, with a Toblerone and a bad hip.
This is shaping up to be the event of the century.
Spaces left: 138.
