Great to see another post from yourself, cup of coffee and a nice read through on a cold rainy day
Car is looking great and the standard of work is a real credit to you
What's your thought's engine wise? Will you stick with the M20

Lovely to see this coming together. I regret not putting an E28 track car together when they were still cheap and more readily available. Yours will be a cracking example once finished and well worth all your hard work.

Will you stick with the M20 Thanks. I’ll probably go down the route of boring and stroking the 2.0 to 2.8. It’s a straight forward job and good for around 190bhp.

Lovely work, I'm looking forward to seeing the progress. I really miss my e28, it had the 2.5 m30 with a manual 'box and was a lot of fun. I had an M535i as a spares car (!), amazing how much these cars fetch nowadays.

What a fantastic project. Forgive me if it was spelled out earlier, but what kind of paint is that … single stage or base/clear? Looks great!

As mentioned yesterday I’ve had the doors and boot lid painted. I personally didn’t paint the panels this time, a good friend who goes back to our apprenticeship days painted them as part of a trade off deal. I did some welding to his e36 and in return he painted my panels, good result all round. Today I had the fiddly task of hanging the doors and aligning them up, even for a panel beater of 24 years these doors are pain in the . Perseverance and patience is key to success with them. Tomorrow night I’ll flat the newly painted panels down with 1500-2000 wet or dry and get them ready for machine polishing before the paint goes too hard.

Any motor factors will have what you need to redo your brake lines, including tooling.

Great work on the e28.
Having cought up on the rebuild so far one thing I have noticed is will you be able to set any camber on the top strut mounts with the pressings of the inner wings as it does not look as if you will beable to without using some performance shims (spacers) for the allen bolts to clear the pressing?
I know you probably don't need more than 3 degrees each side which is a little at the hub but that can be a lot at the top of a strut.

Thanks, I did noticed it when I installed them, however I probably won’t need all of that adjustment but if I do I’ll alter it accordingly.

Hope you're keeping well mate! How's things been on the E28? Sorry for the lack of updates chaps, life has been very busy recently and I’ve struggled to find the time to do anything to the 28, but rest assured there will do an update soon, even though the project has taken a couple of steps backwards it’s all for the greater good.
