The door membrane had been damaged at some point so I've used a bin liner for now until I can find a better product. It'll keep the water out and stop rotting the door card.

Lovely clean car. What is it like sourcing parts? Tom Thanks. Sourcing parts isn't too bad, you can pretty much get all new mechanical components. However finding decent bumpers, trims, body panels and interior trims is getting harder.

Thats gorgeous that is. Had a black one back in the early 90's. Plenty fast enough despite what people said. Love a shark nose!

Thanks for the kind words people. Hopefully this weekend I'm going to sort out the most offending jacking point in order to keep the MOT man happy but more importantly to stop the spread of bran flakes in the sill.

I absolutely love the colour! Thanks, I haven't seen another one with the same green on green colour combo. It is an awesome colour combination... not wishing you to sell but I think you will have a fair few takers for it. Cracking Car

Nice choice, looks very clean indeed. I'm liking that colour combination too, I think its quite rare! Nothing wrong with a 520i. Very capable motors and they sound fantastic, too! Mines just ticked over 100k miles and i expect will do twice that again without issue. I expect you already know, but the cambelt needs doing every 60k on these. Well within the capability of the home mechanic, mind you. Good luck with it, look forward to some updates

She’s a beauty! Green so dark it could be black in some lights. I confess to hating BMWs sometimes, but its the modern w***er driving ones. It took me ten years to get used to the E60, and I think they have aged well enough for me to consider buying one...
I do have an E36 Convertible, and i see your car and it reminds me that BMW used to make smashing looking cars until Chris Bangle went a bit bananas!
