we're setting route now, and our time of arrival is friday at 2200 hours. Is that a problem? 2200 is the "Vehicle movements Curfew Start" You may be asked to walk your stuff to a pitch and leave your car by the entrance - there will be security I guess trying to arrive a little earlier is a logistical issue...........

Ta stewart Club passes are being sent out on Friday... forum.retro-rides.org/post/2412182/threadPresumably the times will be on there - the Gathering has directing marshals which works well so assume the same will happen for the Weekender.

Yes, the ferries don't go quicker 😀 driving down from harrich. And we're coming in a campervan, do we need to drive over the camp site. Is there a solution? bstardchild

Hi folks
I was trying to buy day tix yesterday but the store was down all afternoon. I thought this may be linked to the deadline(?) I went on the store just now and was able to buy a couple of camping tix - does that mean you extended the deadline or should i just cancel them and get a refund?
Sorry to be a pain
Matt

Although I think you are the last weekend tickets we'll be selling as I'm about to take them 100% off sale. Day tickets will be on sale until Monday evening (extended due to website issues).

Hello, it's Quatermass here under a new account, hopefully temporarily (old one hasn't survived the technogeddon of yesterday)
I have a question... A friend of mine decided he wanted to join me for the RRG Weekender. He bought a camping ticket and then as time went by he seemed to get very confused about what the ticket was for and what was going on.
So now he's saying he's only coming for a day.
Can I liase between him and another person here who hasn't got a camping ticket but wants one, so that my friend can hand his ticket over to someone who will actually use it, for no more than the cost of the ticket (ie there will be no tout-malarkey putting the price up).? My friend would then pay on the door Sunday.
I'm a tiny weeny bit annoyed that my friend bought a ticket and seems to have got very confused about things since. So I'd like to think that somebody who wants to be there for the weekend is not prevented from doing so because of an empty pitch purchased by somebody who has no intention of being there.
If you could let me know if this is okay to proceed I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to do the right thing here and don't want to end up in a difficult situation with somebody stopped at the gate because they bought a 2nd hand ticket through me that they can't use!
Cheers. I know you're mad busy over there with far more pressing matters.

That's absolutely fine - happens all the time with the Gathering events - 500 camping limit means camping passes always change hands before the event and it's pretty much always for face value and post (special delivery at short notice) or post free Don't get annoyed with people - people are people............

Don't get annoyed with people - people are people............ I'm partly annoyed with him about wasting a camping spot, but also annoyed because since his confusion came to light he has made a half-hearted attempt at suggesting it's my fault he bought the ticket in the first place. I merely invited him to join me for the weekend because we tend to do car stuff together so it would have been a bit rude to not tell him I was doing this show, but it was him alone who decided to buy a camping ticket. We talked at great length at the time about him taking the Friday off work so we could drive there together and get camping spots next to each other. Now he seems to feel I possibly performed some evil hypnosis on him. I've begun to suspect he might have early onset dementia lately, but that's not something one can bring up casually over a pint. You're right though... people really are people. Some of them more than others.

I have read through the thread, and can't see what I'm about to ask having already been asked... Can I arrive on Sunday to get entry tickets on the day? And is there a possibility of show parking instead of in the car park field?

And is there a possibility of show parking instead of in the car park field? Can definitely arrive Sunday and get a day ticket into the show. As for being able to show maybe. New venue = learning traffic control, if I can find a way to deal with tickets at the gate area without causing a traffic jam on Sunday then I'll do it. Absolutely no guarantee though. Could just do a car entry and take a tenner punt on a ticket.

Think that gets you in to the paddock on Saturday and the club name one is for Sunday.
