aaaaahhh...the daily fix of craftsmanship , the perfect antidote to putting up with morons all day!
it should be the law that anyone (pro or amateur) should follow this thread...one of my pet niggles is when you see an otherwise nicely restored car tainted by the fact the doors have clearly been prepped off the car and bow in at the edges rather than being crispy flat.

I love the fact that all this work is going into a Deluxe rather than a Super, a GT or a 2000E.

Always echoing what others have already said... but amazing work!
Will try to follow this part closely and take some notes and pointers, as I can see it being a part I don’t look forward to when doing mine, will be constant worry of not having it perfectly level and smooth

That is an impressive amount of profiling on what looks to be a very unforgiving set of panels. The patience and skill required to not go through the very fine layers of finishing materials is to be admired.

Has anyone asked the big question yet ? Or is it a secret ? What colour will it be ? I’d guess at Glacier Blue.

Very quickly approaching RTU now (Real Time Updates) More skims required on the front door Just the glaze to block back Which now just leaves the sill swage edge to complete On the nearside of the car is the spare wheel well which deflects any spray off the rear wheel On the offside there is nothing It all gets thrown up against the boot floor Fabricated a deflector plate up and welded it on Problem resolved

How will you finish the underside?

How will you finish the underside? The underside already has some protection on it and where it is sound this will remain - areas of repair have all been etch primed and all of these shall be seam sealed once the car has been painted all the underside of the car - inner arches / wings etc shall be treated with Dinitrol 4941 - underbody wax treatment whilst all cavity / chassis sections shall be treated with Dinitrol ML cavity wax - Like all of the Dinitrol range these are proven products that work - Pete intends to put the car to full use and this treatment system will fully allow that
