Have a Blackline ATB in my Vitesse. As much for the extra carrier strength as the traction. It’s undetectable in normal road use but definitely increases traction when pushing hard out of roundabouts and hairpins. Not quite sure why you’d need more for a road car. Because more is always better 😁

More understeer? (A Vitesse certainly needs no help with that!), Or more clattering and snatching from the back?😛
I also have a Subaru R160 viscous lsd to try in the same car (once I’ve managed to find the right inner CVs). That shouldn’t clatter and snatch but it might cause (more) understeer.
IMO a big part of the battle is getting the suspension right so its able to keep the driving wheels on the ground most of the time.

More understeer? 😛More clattering and snatching from the back? Why would it give you under steer?? I used a welded diff for years. No under steer. The Gripper diff I use is also quiet.

Your experience differs from mine. Possibly because yours is correctly set up for the car…..

the Beams Machine gets some TLC,its hard to see from this shot but the bottom radiator hose was occasionally hitting the alternator belt that was because the alloy connecting pipe was hard up against the dipstick tube so removed the dipstick tube and put a bigger dog leg in it and a longer connecting pipe and there's a good 1/2" clearance now another problem was the Toyota temp sender not working with the Smiths gauge I drilled and tapped and fitted a Smiths sender got this off eBay for a good price, its s/h but a lot better than mine off with the old one much better

Oh man that is tempting! Shame I'm poor... I've forwarded it onto a mate who has always wanted a Dolly/Tolly though. Also, just out of curiosity, do you make these to sell? Or is it more that you enjoy making them, so each finished one funds completing the next one, producing a continual stream of the most awesome 2-door Toledos the world has ever seen?

Yeah he was interested in that one when it was last for sale but you pipped him to the post! still one of my all-time favourite cars Thanks biturbo228I just enjoy working on Toledo's ,once am happy there finished I lose interest in them and then its on to the next one ,I don't make any money on them, wish Id of been given a mk1 escort for my 17th not a Dolomite, only joking . Neat have you ever considered doing a Saab B204 one? No idea how well it would fit, but I was always drawn to that combo due to the Triumph connection (the Saab B-engine essentially being a Triumph OHC with all of its problems fixed...).

And time waster #1 - Hopefully not too many rounds before a genuine bidder gets the winning ticket.
