Once again confirming everything I said about South American cars. It's a 2 door Orion/Escort saloon (with, it looks like Fiesta side windows) and different rear lights. Why? VW have perfectly decent designs of their own why are they using cast offs from a rival company? On a vaguely related note, I give you the Fiesta saloon or should I say sedan? Another answer to a question that nobody asked. (sorry it's not very retro) They look like mondeo's that have been shurnk in the wash

That last Fiesta can be bought here in Australia. I really like probably all Fiesta models from the 70's models to the current one. But that sedan is just *&^% ugly. It is really surprising how they were able to make a good looking little car so ugly.
I traded a 8 year old Disco on a 14 year old Ford Maverick (Nissan Patrol) years ago. I hated the Disco. I loved the Maverick. I ended up spending soooo much money on the Maverick it was just silly. Lifted the body by 2 inch, raised the suspension by 4 inch. Fitted locks front and back and got some 35 inch muddies. When the camshaft gave some issues we rebuilt and tickled the engine a bit. It was so much fun to drive but when I worked out that my brothers new Mack truck was better on fuel than my Maverick I decided to sell...

I know that thing as a Toyota Kijang. Loads of them in Indonesia. I think it was sold in Europe, too. But under a different name, obviously.

They look like they should have two 6 across bench seats in the back. They're actually quite narrow for their size, but it as to be seen how many they can cram in one! Maybe my eyes are deceiving me but looks a bit like a mk2 transit!!! Always remind me of a Sherpa.

A few years ago I bought a very good 4x4 book. Amongst the rarities from Eastern Europe and Russia was probably the best name ever. A Tarpan Honker.

I knew about the Simca Eight, but I didn't know about it's relation the Simca Eight Sport until this week. Very attractive little thing it is too. Honourable mention for the Simca Eight actually because it's the only car I'm aware of with vertical door handles.
