Now for sale, air ride Lotus Elite, featured more times than I can remember, you guys know the score. With total regret I’m finally selling due to relocation, massive build thread on the Lotus forum 70k page views 80k page views on RetroRides, magazine and web features. Will suit someone who likes to make an entrance, its fast n loud, big sound system, bad ass rims, drives as good as it looks, one of the coolest cars in the country. Rare opportunity to buy an iconic Lotus Elite that works on every level, happy to demonstrate the car to serious buyers. Offers in the region of 10k or near offer, currently located in Stoke on Trent PM for more details. Loads of photos and video on the build thread.
A car you need to see in the flesh to appreciate it's aura.

Are you leaving the UK / modified car ownership ? So we don't even get to savour over your next build?!
Good luck with the sale

Taking a break. Next build? If I ever get there (and I have ideas) will be like a film sequel, bigger, better more explosions but never quite as good as the original ;-)

Just read the original build thread, instead of working this morning. Wow, Just incredible and you attention to detail is insane.
Other than General Maintenance is there anything that needs doing to the Low-tus?

All done, just the routine stuff to keep it on the road, turn the key and away you go.

Hi - are there any pics of the car raised to full height - What lift do you get out of the air shocks?
Thinking of the hideous speed bumps round my way!

Try this video below, don't know how to embed it, but will give you an idea of ride height. Not just saying this but I rarely scrape, I designed around 3 inches of lift which I know is as low as you can go before you start scrapping. 3 inches will give you all the clearance you need, however good judgement in your driving style will help avoid any perilous moments. Speed bumps are best tackled slowly and one wheel over the hump and one on the flat will see you traverse most humps, ask any low rider owner. Obviously any low car has to be treated with respect, even a high dollar Lambo or Ferrari will have issues where road surfaces are uneven.
Fwiw, the air shocks were replaced and the whole air system was substantially beefed up and improved well over a year ago, the current sytem has 120psi airbags on each corner and independant adjustable shocks, the car lifts to ride height at 60psi giving well over 50% of useful extra psi when needed (not that you'll ever get anywhere near those figures when driving), I will happily demonstrate how good this system is to any serious party. There's a better video on vimeo (side view) can't seemto embed it.

If I ever get there (and I have ideas) will be like a film sequel, bigger, better more explosions but never quite as good as the original ;-) Without wishing to come across as some sort of sycophant, you are, without question, one seriously talented and skilled man who has built one of the best modified cars out there in car modifying land. Your eye for detail is fabulous. Good luck with the sale, its worth every penny.

Too kind young man, much appreciated. As always the support on here is overwhelming, just nice to know all the hard work has been seen and appreciated by others. So many ideas in my noodle, if I ever get back to a stage where I can build, I'm sure I could get a new build equally as interesting. Anyway, eventually 'The Red Pather' will move onto a new owner and hopefully give as much enjoyment as I have had, it really is a special car. Gentlemen please stand and take off your hats, here and now I present to you, the myth, the legend, drum roll please... Here it is in all it's glory... The Red Panther. Crowd goes crazy, big rounds of applause, women faint by the dozen, man with a walking stick falls over, kids all of a tizwaz, cats and dogs running around in circles... Be apart of it, buy the legend, all the best Charlie ;-)

That youtube version of the video does bug me some what. Great video shot by Chris at in motion media but formatted for vimeo with the soundtrack of my choice, 70s psych rock, some pleb ripped the video and put it out on youtube with that most horrific tune cobbled over the top, it bugs me to this day that that version is played more times with that curse word soundtrack. If you want to see and hear the original version with the correct soundtrack it is here, the tune was specifically chosen to marry with the cars 1970s appeal. There you go small bug bear rant over, it's the small things don't you know!
