I realise this is an old thread but just want to say what an awesome and inspiring build this was, having owned a few Lotus cars in the past including an Éclat and an Excel, I have been re-inspired to own another...yikes! saying that I drove my Excel as a daily driver, covering 20,000 fairly trouble free miles a year before I sold it,(doh)
Lowering the Elite really did enhance its wedge shape, but all for the better imo.. truly a stunning car, whatever happened to it?
