The air filter or lack of
When I was building the car my plan was to make up an air box but as it got to the end of the build I realised space was not on my side
And as it looked far better with an open turbo I was going to make up a ram air horn for the turbo and just call it done
But with the idea of the rodents making a house in there over the winter months and the possibility of kids poking sweets in there at car shows
It was decided I would need to do something and the mesh would stop all that and it was fine enough to do as a filter as well and that’s how it’s been since
Until now
After some over complicated thinking about air boxes and other options
I went with the simple approach
“Just find a filter that fits “
So with some measurements to hand and a several hours trolling though dimensions and part numbers on the internet
I found this and it fits perfectly
It even has the correct offset to miss the turbo waste gate feed pipe
