Rian - Nice to see you back in the land of the living - please keep the snow to yourself at your end I have 600 mile new project collection road trip planned for Thurs & Fri and can do without being troubled by the white fluffy cold stuff If that's your Darlington trip leave yourself plenty of time I'm 30 miles north of there and there's 4-5 inches of snow here Will do & thanks for the heads up - we have purposefully planned to do the trip in 2 days rather than attempt to be a hero and do it in one day - shovels and a couple of bags gritsalt are going with us just in case

Nice to see your out and about again, It's been minus 5 here today and I had to pick the kids up from school as they decided to close it at 1pm today, they couldn't believe there luck and have been out sledging all afternoon. Personally I'd be happy with 10 degrees at the moment! Damn weather!! π

Ay up Rian, (Bit of North Country dialect there for you...)
The local news says you're a bit snowed in at the moment. Or snowed out. Depends on which side of the drift you happen to be standing... Luckily I was off work today 'cos I don't think I'd be coming home if I'd gone in. Not that it would have been a massive problem. Work is safe and warm.
Good to see you are running around again.
James

Well, the weekend saw the first swap meet for me for the year. Not as cold as some years, Saw a load of the usual suspects and met up with mate Craig Some random pics. Who needs an OVERPRICED Radio Flyer? Β£40.00 for two, pressed steel. Very tempted. Do love me some small stuff. After a good day, decided to leave by 3.00pm Got flagged down by Mercedes Benz ML driver...... Had left his lights on. Prozac to the rescue. My loot from the day, nothing I needed, but lots I wanted. T-shirts were 3/Β£5.00 Next stop, Wheels Day.

He's back! Glad to hear you've recovered and normal service has resumed - doesn't sound much fun at all. I'd best not show SWMBO your last update - she'll want a certain plate like you've found for her four legged friend!

Well what can I say. Ive read this over the past few nights and it was a delight. Both refreshing and enlightening. I only really clicked on it because I've just bought a Berlingo within the past week named 'Dingo' (after my X-type broke down ON the busiest roundabout in town) for Β£550, 2.0 hdi unit and I'm quite smitten with it.
Since the mk2 golf build is going nowhere fast and being inspired by your very entertaining and enlightening vehicular ramblings with Prozac I'm tempted to add it to here too. Its an 05 plate so far from retro. But with 180,000 miles on the clock it may just be acceptable.

Not had much to report lately. I have a lodger moving out, and a contractor moving in for another 17 weeks,so should be eating. Speaking of eating.... The cats have been loading up lately. Dave the lodger got a nice pic of old man Dukey. Spent the day two weeks ago with my mate Kevin, sorting out his sons house as he is traveling around Peru on a bike for a few months. Jealous? Me? Never. Came home that evening and got a call from Mate Ricky who bought the Chrome smoothies off my truck a few years ago. He had left a gift for me under a rock. Some pen knives for my collection. Favourite amongst them, was this little guy. Spent Sunday with a friend to see her dogs and put up the butterfly wall hanging I made for her from scrap off Darrenβs pile during December break. I also fitted a new dog tunnel and doors for her followed by a kebab and bottle of wine. 9 hrs well spent. Prozac did the transport honours, continuing to put that silly grin on my face. She reminded me of one of my random likes.... Bad Taste Bears. I have one in my car too. Wall hanging up. Headed into London last Thursday I saw this train at Strood station too....... Just who names trains?? Lastly, after all the rubbish weather. I cut my grass for the first time this year. Summer is headed here. Hope to find my way back into the garage after a not insignificant hiatus. Have a good weekend all.
