Which meant we had a cat burrito How the hell did she do this on her own..?? Made me laugh though. She started from the other end and tunneled her way to the end...... Reminds me of mine Who didn't like being discovered under a folded over duvet!!! Hover Cat? Cool pic. They are burgers for doing stuff, and certainly therapeutic.

Bit of almost truck action today. Bootfair just started, so always on the lookout for stuff I like or want or may even need. This lot...... Included some healthy plants at Β£2.50 each for some work I am currently doing in the garden (report some time soon) Also a large checkered flag.... Β£1.00 A bass drum pedal and its pedestal for Β£1.00 This is certainly truck related....... I want to use the pedal as an accelerator pedal for the truck. I always love the cast ally pedals, but they are silly prices, so plan B comes into play. I also got a large unopened pack of split pins for Β£2.00 Also from the same seller a tub of 100 hand cleaner scrubby towel things for Β£2.00 surely a bargain too. And a bag of nails for the shed I am building currently, to be reported on some time in the future. And a nice unused three hook coat hook, key hook for Β£2.00 Some punches for mate CraigRK at Β£2.00 And most randomly, a selection of drinking glasses at 20p each, some will be off to friends elesewhere, but I get to keep two, Katy gets one etc. Prices have certainly gone up at bootfair, and there is less choice stuff, but there is still the odd gem if you take the time to look around. Another bootfair tomorrow.

On Friday grizz and I used Prozac as theme appropriate transportation to venture out to Surrey Wheels Day (given that not one our joint 3 American vehicles could make the drive, a Nascar inspired version had to do). Parked up facing the field: Here's a gratuitous selfie of the intrepid duo just after parking up and about to venture out upon the field. Between us we took a few pictures as have many others, you can see these all by clicking this link: Surrey Wheels Day 2017 - Grizz & CraigRK's Pics.

XXXX Aussie curse word.....not the best beer in my books. Won't even touch the stuff myself. Can only have half a glass before I feel ill, but other beers I can have 2 or 3 and not feel like poo. Plus my mum regularly has to service the brewery first aid supplies. Some nasty chemicals there she says.

I don't recall it. Having said that, we were both focussed on chatting and enjoying the cars rather than taking pictures!

Did you hear me cursing at the drunk rich people and all the traffic? Took more than 30 minutes to get from the Shell service station to Katy's place. Glad you liked it though. At the pace I was travelling we could have had a chat.

You could well be forgiven... always causes chaos. Although I can't profess to being drunk or rich There were quite a few drunken folk about though, not so much rich though as they'd probably just lost all their money!

Got a text from Miss Katy yesterday with a photo...... Parcel from America had landed, included Pink cammo working gloves, from mate Dennis in St Louis, Missouri. She had commented on a pair that he had sent to Mr Zog (His move to America and all it brought him here: www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=190196.0 ) in Florida a few weeks ago, so Dennis offered in secret to send her some to her address. The big ones are for me. She was tickled pink. Thank you Dennis. Got home last night and there was a small parcel that made it through the letter box, the address was a colleagues name and he had texted that he had dropped something off on his way home from work. Opened the parcel..... Yes, it's a knife, I love a good knife. And Kenneth wanted to thank me for just looking out for him. I need no rewards, but it was rather nice. Then tonight after work I jumped into Prozac and shot down to Sheppey again to Darren's place to pick up some bits for the car. I still need a few little trim bits, but hope to pick them up over time. A rear panel for the tailgate that was missing and an original radio, with its code...... And most importantly, a piece of the wiring harness to try repair the mess that is there now. Hopefully mate Martin with his electronic cleverness can figure it all out. Still need one of these little twist knobs to retain the under dash fuse panel. And a drivers side speaker grille. Home by 7.30 and on my work desk till 10.00pm soma productive day in all.

think you need a new speaker too by the look of it...mind you the only one left in my 106 when I got it had absolutely no foam left around the cone at all , which accounted for the rather "flappy" tone!! i'll be on a scrapyard scavenge next week (dipstick top disintegrated off the pugs one....doh) and will keep my eye open for a turn button for you , is there one still present you could take a picky of as a guide?

Plus you need a set of new & better speakers since the one in the pic has already lost some foam surrounding the membrane! Probably the old original ones. You deserve better stuff! So get yourself a set for doors and dashboard. think you need a new speaker too by the look of it...mind you the only one left in my 106 when I got it had absolutely no foam left around the cone at all , which accounted for the rather "flappy" tone!! i'll be on a scrapyard scavenge next week (dipstick top disintegrated off the pugs one....doh) and will keep my eye open for a turn button for you , is there one still present you could take a picky of as a guide?Sadly not one there, and they are different, kind of L shaped to catch the rear. Both speakers are knackered, but at the level I normally listen, they just about make it. I may have a set of 6" units, just not gone to look for them. But they will get fitted some time, just not got to it. Know I gave a set away previously, and have a set of heavy hitter 6x9 units that are no good. The day job is keeping me busy and stressed enough that the car is not getting all the attention it needs. Also busy building a 6 x 8 x 7 x 7.5 shed that is going to store a bunch of the stuff on my drive and in the garage like mowers, bicycles etc. Making it slightly tall at 6.3 at the sides so I can actually walk in. Got to keep the roof line at a level where Mickey next door's wife does not have a hernia. Inbetween, Katy demands my time both at her place some weekends, and next weekend (3 day weekend) she has demanded we "do something" on one of the days.......... I thought building a shed was doing something.... So slightly miffed at her, as I prefer to get jobs done. Off to the garden now to move some stuff before showering and going to her place for the day and dinner with her posh friends.

Got to keep the roof line at a level where Mickey next door's wife does not have a hernia. Loving the idea of a 4 dimensional shed. Will we be able to do time travel in it? Or is it merely teleportation? You do realise you now need to name it the Tardis. Which in itself makes sense if the plan is to make it swallow more of your projects/tools/junk than appears possible from the outside (especially as viewed from Mickey's side of the fence).

Photophuckitt still at it. This service sucks like very few things I know of and we are stuck with it while they take our money and have no way of communicating with anyone who actually gives a toss or would affect a change. In the mean time I thought I would just upload a load of phot s they deleted before, no narrative, just as a second try at keeping a record of what has happened so far. So Wheels bought from Andy, cleaned at Darren's shop. Primered. Painted and a red stipe added. Spare wheel removed, cleaned and painted. Off to get alloys swopped over..... that cost me a new tyre and a lot more cash that planned. New silencer fitted...... 20 minute job, even for me. Debadged from Citroen..... Around about the same time I got a parcel from Dennis. All was not yet revealed........ More photos later when I have time. Little van also has a bit of a big job ahead this week, possibly moving 6 railway sleepers, or ties from a friends place 20 miles from here for a small project that is going on in the background. Later guys.

Slightly out of sequence set brake repair photos. Brakes were never spectacular for starters. So needed to be adressed. Fronts looked fine after a few miles of purposefull heavy use but rears certainly made interesting noises. Rusted up means penetrating oil. Lots of it Aaaaaaahhhh...... Leaking cylinders and contaminated shoes. New parts Β£60.00 for full rebuild kit. Passenger side much better condition. But replaced as matter of course. Looking a bit sad My neighbour Stuart whose vans I get to borrow occasionally for the price of diesel came to supervise and ultimately take over and do most of the clever reassembly. Once the brakes and handbrake were all refitted and adjusted I had to try on the alloys. It made me grin madly. Yup...... Van makes my very happy. And as always, Harley insists on inspecting and doing security control. She helps a lot.

Not a criticism of brake rebuild kits in any way, but a story I've always liked. A good few years ago, when I was still selling cars, we had a top mechanic next door. A customer of his was griping about the cost of replacing a completely knackered brake master cylinder and asking if a cheap rebuild kit would be a better idea. The mechanic's response? "You sound like you came into this world through a tiny hole in a piece of rubber, do you want to go out the same way?"
