Mine is fairly retro, currently waiting for new swing arm bearings before heading to the Alps in the summer. Rocky Mountain RM7 complete with Shivers

Yes me. I moved to France in my 20s to ride/race more. None of mine would be considered retro even today. Sadly my last DH bike, a Devinci Wilson suffered a horrible death and cracked in a few places. My current bike is a brand new (only 4 rides old) Santa Cruz 5010 V2C, oh and I ride a road bike too, Wilier GTR SL, but you probably don't want to know about that either.

I love old school bikes. I have a Klein Mantra which is hella 90s. But I can't figure out for the life of me how to get a photo on here from my phone.
It's a cool bike anyway. Total death trap of an early downhill bike

I remember when those Scotts were new. I used to ride at PORC most weekends and that headtube gusset fascinated me massively.
The most retro thing I had was a Intense M1, I also had the obligatory Kona Stinkys amung other things.
Ride a boring Norco Fluid now.

Hahha yes the head tube is a pretty cool feature and would say out there even for today Both removable and adjustable too

Such a bizarre shape frame that Klein
That's why I love the older type frames when they were all still experimenting with frame geometry and pivot points lol
I'm after a lefty setup just because they still look epic today haha

Yeah I remember seeing a lefty fork being ridden and being blown away by it. Even now on the rare occasions I see one, it still has the same effect. That Klein frame is pretty bonkers, they did some awesome bikes though. Here's an interesting read on the Mantra for anyone interested m.pinkbike.com/news/1996-klein-mantra-pro-now-that-was-a-bike.html

Was it orange that built the Mr O? I had an orange 5 a few years ago which I loved, my youth was spent lusting after the Patriot!

Yeah orange built the Mr O, I too also wanted a patriot, black with red boxxers on it, also wanted a kona stinky in the green/yellow/red colour from the late 90's. Sadly I could never afford one and had to stick with hardtails. I currently have an '07 commencal meta but she don't count as retro enough in my eyes. One of the best looking bikes I thought was the sintesi bazooka, the space framed one, with shivers on it Picture stolen from google. And there was also the brooklyn machine works bike which was so bad ass, ah man this was my childhood, before mobile phones and wasteofspacebook when kids would venture outside and ride their bikes around local shops, colleges and city centres getting chased by security...ah fond memories

rustydanYes! The Brooklyn Machine Works was a thing dreams were made of! I'd still very much like one now. Doubt I could afford one even now, probably ten plus years after first seeing them. I also liked the Santa Cruz V10, the first of the fluid frame type, seemed like such a leap ahead at the time from the old bean tin swing arm version.
