I got home safe - took half the time it took me to get there Jack "I don't like it" will laugh - I got caught in the mother of all thunderstorms outside cambridge on the way home - apologies to anyone unfortunate enough to be behind me - 15mph really was as quick as was safe in the conditions - track day tyres are NOT good on lots of standing water - anything over 15mph and the steering went all light and didn't work very well!!! LOL. ;D you didn't manage another unplanned 360 then? According to my trip computer my average speed was 68 mph and average mpg was 41.8 over 344 miles. ;D

Would have been incident free if some tw*t hadn't decided to smash his door into my brothers Supra 3 times, then try and hit him round the face, because he gave his wife the finger after she very nearly drove into us attempting to get off the M1 hard shoulder after skipping a 20 minute traffic jam to get in the Toddington services! Her excuse for skipping the traffic was that she needed a pee and everyone else was doing it! Luckily the already broken door strip took the door abuse well and the mouthy couple scampered off when my brother threatened to press assault and deliberate damage charges, then pulled out a camera and started taking pictures of them, the damage, and their number plate! ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Got back OK, but the GT took offence to a 'motorway speed' run from the M1 along the A14 and promptly peed all over the carpark at Cambridge....topped up with some cheapo water from the shop - no more problems. Still to fix the rad fan mounts, though.....

X3 Hope he called the police He went and spoke to the traffic police dealing with the accident at the bottom of the services slip road (the reason for the jam) and as per usual they said that they were short on Police and could he file the complaint at his local station.

Madmog didn't really run right after conking out on the track. Went funny and hot over the motorway so pulled off and ended up getting put on a couple of AA trucks to get home. Water pipe burst and poured water between the cam boxes and particularly and did some damage to plug lead 4. The AA man didn't want to risk running after coolant loss in case the head's warped or water got into the cylinder.
Stil good excuse to pull the head and get the hotter cam in.

left at about 4.30, up to coalville, across to the m1, and all the way to scotch corner, across to penrith and back to cairnryan. approx 400 (?) miles, in about 8 hours as I was there for 12.30am or slightly earlier, and with about half an hours worth of 5 minute stops along the way for bpm/water, hidden under the doors in the boot all weekend to keep cool enough time to read an entire Inspector Montalbano mystery, have 3 kitkat chunkys and pay an extra tenner for a ferry 6 hours earlier than planned. even got to wear my ever-so-cool shades on the way too. 'cos i'm hawt, yeah. 2 hours sleep on the crossing, 2 hours drive home through morning rush-hour (and getting cut up) and home for 7.45am, slept till 2, and spent the rest of the day online looking at pics and keeping the hype! work at 11 tomorrow. back to normality

We got back fine, narrowly missed the jam on the M40 as they'd put diversion signs up by the time we got there. Trailer towed surprisingly nicely!

we also got home safe today. Camped at the track sunday evening, went down to Dover around 9 am, got caugt in a lot of traffic jams, but we arrived way on time at the port. I like my car It's taking water and oil, i don't look after the engine very well and it takes a lot of abuse On the 1400km round trip we've done, it didn't miss a beat. Great!
