Hope everyone had a safe journey back! I chatted to Tigran briefly on my way out as he was waiting for the AA to rescue the Viva. Hope you got back alright fella.
We convoyed back with TCC. Fairly incident-free apart from a few nerve-jangling scrapes. Apologies if you were stuck behind us on the bumpy bits doing 5mph! ;D

I got home safe - took half the time it took me to get there Jack "I don't like it" will laugh - I got caught in the mother of all thunderstorms outside cambridge on the way home - apologies to anyone unfortunate enough to be behind me - 15mph really was as quick as was safe in the conditions - track day tyres are NOT good on lots of standing water - anything over 15mph and the steering went all light and didn't work very well!!!

Yeah it was incident free, bit boring really ;D
Who i wanna hear from is leigh - legend! - digs out his tr6 coup-thing days before the shows and hacks all the way down to the show in it. Talking to him at the show though his words on getting back "not got a ferry booked so will have to go to a couple of ports and see what i can find".
Living the dream!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Yeah BB,
Although the sprint did some damage that I'm going to have to sort out.
The track action loosened \ buggered up an exhaust clamp (it was on its way out anyway) so it now sounds like a diesel shunter when you floor it.
My choke cable broke.
Also the issues with the steam from the head have returned. Much oil steamige which is either a clogged breather, knackered rings or buggered bores.
I also saw tig waiting for the AA when I left for home.

Second gear synchromesh has gone a bit "hit and miss" on the 2CV - am hoping the track fun just forced out some gearbox oil so I'll check the levels tonight. Hard work for the Tin Snail - drive flat out to Mallory, drive flat out around track, drive flat out back home again! (Over an indicated 75 at one point! Woooo feel the power!)

When we passed Tig he was standing by Volvo watching Viva getting winched on to AA flat bed We had a good (if slow) trip home. Towing meant I could only really do 55 max and there's a definite rear wheel bearing grumble too. Traffic on the M1 was heavy, I guess because of the M40 thing, but we stopped for dinner at my in-laws who are staying on a campsite just off the motorway at Hemel Hempstead for the next week or so... Eventually got home at around 9 and then had to do the Oxford up and down the drive on the starter motor thing to get the trailer away

True to form, the Mustang did what it does best and ran out of petrol! Still, it was only about a mile from home.

Yes thank you.
Those observant sorts may have spotted King Maz abandoned outside the shop on the way in with a cloud of smoke around it. I'd foolishly emblazoned '100,000 miles today' on it.
Anyway, a good walk round the show and some water from a kind lady who lived opposite and all was well.
