I had some time off during the Christmas holidays however I hoped to get more done. It took me and my dad 3 days to find set up the door gaps and sill location but the doors are too hard to close I will buy new door seals as the ones that came with the car are probably the old kind which is too thick. Happy new year everyone!! Here's next year's goal

Be careful with new door seals. All seem a lot thicker and less pliable than the originals. Took my car 6 months before the seals finally settled in.
Have you re hung and resigned the doors? Looks like new screws on the hinges. How was that? I need to renew my door pins.

i remember one of these in the scrap yard in 1992, I had the fuel filter off it for me mini shame I didn't drag it home, I was already OK at welding after fixing the mini.

Looks like new screws on the hinges. How was that? I need to renew my door pins. The seals took a long time to get right, I found that we tried putting the outer sill a little too high so it was squeezing the bottom side of the seal. Luckily the sill was held with screws, not welded in place so we just moved it to the right position. I put new skins on the doors and I bought all new hinges. I had a new hinge that cracked at the casting around the screws so I sent it back and bought the hinge from another supplier These videos show how bad the doors were:

I have three friends who have Berties of one sort or another. I've worked on one of them quite a bit and they are lovely things crammed with delightful little details you only really get in old Italian cars.
Good luck with yours.

Fantastic work on a project that will be stunning when it's finished. Could I ask please, your sheet steel bender, (as shown in an earlier part of the thread,) is it home made ?? If so could you give some details ?? Nigel
