I am setting up my race car with the help of a Cosworth specialist. It has to have a turbo restrictor. Finding one was a nightmare. And then of course the turbo housing had to be machined to make it fit. And the supplier is a fool. And it took ages. But I am hoping that now it is ready the set-up can commence in earnest. 36mm restrictor attached to turbo housing: Charlie

I've just got to get the car a bit lower, fit my wheels (which now have tyres) with the spacers and drive.... only complicating factor is that I've got a car show to organise.

Well, this afternoon went better than this morning. I now have the rear end sitting a finger's width off the bumpstop I'll post up a picture-rich thread about it once I've done the other side. Perseverence is my key word for today I think

Just polish, polish, polish!
TBH, the car was looking quite nice. Then I went to visit Keefy & Larry at their new workshop today, and the car is now coated in a film of farm filth. GAH.

need to buy and fit new rear tires (both almost worn and 1 is letting its air out) find out where all the oil and water go to (probably a blown-ish head gasket, but i'll make the 1300km round trip with it i hope, just bring enough water/oil with me ) clean it (to hide the rust, a bit, it's still very rusty ) check other fluids drive to the UK ;D

fingers crossed that it holds, but i think so, it survived a weekend tearing the mountains of the Ardennes in 2, and that was almost 6 months ago! ;D I only noticed something was wrong when we drove into a traffic jam, and then the temp gauge almost snapped off at the top limit. Litterly NO water in the radiator, and i don't know how long i drove with that ;D

Well, having got the seat into the pug all that's left to do now is:
Fit clutch/gearbox etc Stitch up the steering wheel Repair thread in rollcage mount nut Fit Pipercross airfilter (hasn't yet arrived....) Make sure it all works
Optional things that might be done if time allows:
Fit battery cut off switch/wire it in Weld in door bars to cage Seam weld floor and weld up random holes
See how far I get! Also got the problem of leaky tyres/rims, but they'll stay up long enough I hope!
