Theres a story in today's Sun about Evans going back to the 90,s in short apparently he used to flash himself on a daily basis to the production assistant lady. Police are supposed to be looking it to it. Maybe he dident leave on his own accord jump before he,s pushed?

I think Rowan would be great but i very much doubt he would do it . He does not need the money and he is notoriously private , rarely making public appearances . Was he ever on the original TG as a guest ? He was indeed on SIARPC and topped the Leaderboard. However he too is not a presenter. He can be an interviewee and read lines from a script but a presenter he is not.

Hm OK. Well everyone to there own, I just don't get Evans, sabine was too forced as a presenter she can drive but just doesn't click. How's about the two who did scrap heap challenge? Great chemistry on camera entertaining and been round some crazy ideas, maybe bring in proper job bloke and gain porter as occasional guests who have experience of car stuff if your old enough to remember gail doing pulling power?

They don't need a Chris Evans replacement, they already have plenty of presenters. They just need to play with the format a bit.

Evans gone - good . Get rid of Sabine as she is no presenter , and that fool Jordan , you don't need a ' comedy' character .

Tom Agreed, they're heavily laden with presenters already and losing one won't hurt, (especially if it's CE). The format is the thing, they've allowed it to get really stale & seem to be totally unimaginative. Even though it's only recently had one, I think this indicates a need for change right at the top on the production side of things. The scripting too can be really pants, so probably need a new writer or two.

As for the claims, if he has done something wrong then it should be looked into etc, it is slightly odd that this person appears to have remained quiet until the public turned on him but there you go.
For me I think it is a pity he is leaving, this is the first complete series I have watched on the night of airing and enjoyed for a good few years - I accept the first episode was by far the weakest. I had been taking less notice of the old 3 for ages and just dipping in every now and then and always came away thinking they had lost there way.
It needed a strong character like Evans to give the BBC the confidence to continue with the show and indeed slowly change its direction. As a whole I think this is something that has started and full credit to him for that, it feels more like a car show now which is good for me but not the public as a whole, it is impossible to keep everyone happy - and this series clearly didn't but it laid a nice path for where it could go.
Personally I had no problems with Evans, I didn't mind the colour of his hair, or the fact he wore the same clothes each week, although accept that to some this is very important in there lives. I didn't even mind him being loud and hyper (for me) it gave an energy which I felt had been missing for some time and with the larger number of hosts / presenters (another thing I liked) the whole thing felt lighter and in many ways more like a magazine where no one become to over bearing.
Sadly I am in a minority and most didn't agree which I think is a real shame (especially for me. MLB I admit was better than I expected but if I'm honest was for me the most annoying presenter and a little too smug, not that I wanted him gone as I thought his slow laid back (boring) delivery complimented that of Evans.
The other presenters too were finding there feet and I couldn't help but think that given a series or two it could develop into a different but better show than the previous format. Sadly I am worried that Reid, Harris and LeBlanc might become a bit tedious over time and am not sure LeBlanc's dry humour and wooden delivery will give any sort of upbeat feel.

Respect to the guy, he saw the writing on the wall and did the right thing sooner rather than later . If you've read guy martins book , when you dead you dead , he categorically rules himself out of the tg job His inner chimp would be well out his cage! Out his cage? Brian would probably wring the life out of his gingerness

I watched the first two episodes, tried to convince myself that i enjoyed it, and havnt watched it since. Fair play to evans for going when he knew it wasnt working, now all the show need is a new studio, title, and layout.

The new/old introduction for the Stig just made me cringe It was like dad dancing at a disco... Trying to be hip and trendy but failing miserably

I thought the first episode was pretty awful, it just felt like a cheap rip off of the previous series, but it did get better. I know that some of you didn't like the previous team, but watching some old shows on Dave, showed how much humour and personality had been lost. That said, I truly believe that it got a lot better during the series and the last couple of episodes were enjoyable. I stuck with it as there are very few motoring shows, and even a relatively poor one is still better than nothing. I worry now that the progress made will be lost by the next series when (if?) it is made. I like Chris Evans in most things, having watched him since the Big Breakfast, he was not an ideal fit for this program as he clearly did not have the depth of knowledge of cars that Clarkson and team had, and was too shouty for the situation regularly, although he did get a bit quieter. I felt that many people were determined to hate him from the beginning, and did not give him a chance. I read many comments on places like facebook saying things like they had never watched it but it was awful! I gave him a chance, he got better! The various other presenters were ok, I liked Rory (who I had never heard of) as he seemed to be really passionate about cars. Chris Harris - getting used to him, probably a bit nerdy for me. Sabine - a great driver, had her moments as a presenter. Eddie - quite funny, but at times not sure if laughing with him or at him! The confused old man act did not always seem to be an act! Matt - quite funny, but seemed a little too laid back at times, lacking a bit of passion? I hope it returns. It is still a bit of a work in progress, but I really did feel that it got a lot better as the weeks progressed.

I have to say on the whole I really started to enjoy the series. decent amount of variety, mostly interesting and less daftness which had started to spoil top gear towards the end of the clarkson era. I really like LeBlanc as a presenter, probably the pick of the bunch for me. Harris I wasn't sure about at first, but I've warmed to him. Sabine, I just don't get as a presenter. Maybe should be used more as a driver. Rory was decent enough and Evans I could tolerate. I didn't like the voiceovers, they just sounded disjointed, however the piece on the upgraded retros was a great bit of telly. Eddie Jordan I just couldn't get, found him slightly odd tbh. I think it's a great shame that Evans has been bullied out of the job. Love or hate him, I don't think it is a very nice way to treat someone. Wasn't given a fair crack if I'm honest.

Not sorry to see Evans go, he appeared to have tried to tone down his screeching but it was still there and still irritating. Sabine - not a presenter Harris - quite like him Rory - likewise Eddie - OK but prefer him on the F1 show. Matt - seems to have settled in now, let him loose and let's see where it goes?

Needs more Stig.
I found some of the best gags with the old trio were some of the visual ones they pulled with him.
Daft things like wheeling him in on a sack truck, or arriving on the Isle of Mann on the luggage carousel at the airport, simple yet effective.
His appearance at the end of the 'Nomad' film was a reasonable one, which mostly worked with Matt LeBlanc's 'something licked me' line.
Does that make sense?
