It's never nice to see someone hounded out of their job, however I do think it will be better without him. Plus I'm sure his millions of pounds and huge car collection will comfort him.

Bit of a shame really,i quite like Evans though i do think radio is his best medium. MLB has been ok and i like Sabine. EJ irritated me beyond all reason on BBC's F1 coverage but i have warmed to him slightly.. Where does TG go now i wonder? I'd quite like to see someone like Guy Martin front it and bring back Vicki Butler Henderson. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

He's passionate enough about his hobbies and likes, and makes an enjoyable watch, but he can't read a script for toffee so would be useless in a presenting role. VBH's fake squeaks and squeals make terrible viewing too. They should just stick to MLB, Reid and Harris (although I find CH too clinical and dare I say boring for an entertainment show, he's works best on YT).

Thats my point really,he has passion,he's a petrolhead and he's a natural character.I think his presence on challenges would add a lot of humour even if it was unscripted. No idea whether he can follow a script or not,but i agree he's probably not going to be at his best in a studio setting. I like VBH for my sins, thats the beauty of opinions..everyone has one ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I think MLB has been a reasonable success,i reckon they will be looking for another "name" for the next series though.

I think they should just do it without Chris Evans. It will feel fresher, particularly now the public has been introduced to Rory and Chris Harris a bit more

Now that TG USA has been cancelled bring in Rutledge Wood and Travis Pastrana, they work well together, Rutledge is quite funny and Pastrana can drive a car.

Respect to the guy, he saw the writing on the wall and did the right thing sooner rather than later . If you've read guy martins book , when you dead you dead , he categorically rules himself out of the tg job

Do feel sorry for Evans, but... MLB, RR & CH will be fine as the main Trio. Although I do feel CH can be a bit too geeky, which is rich coming from me lol.
I like Guy Martin, but I think he would be terrible on the show tbh, it's not really his bag.

Well, I don't like Chris Evans on tv, but I do think he has the prefect face for radio, and quite like him on the radio. Having said that as time has gone on I have warmed to him on Top Gear, and would've quite liked to see how he got on in future series. Matt Le Blanc was a bit of a surprise, and I've quite enjoyed his presenting throughout this short series. As for all the other presenters, I think they're all a bit pointless. And there's too many of them, however, like De la soul would have us believe three is the magic number, and to that end I would replace Sabine Schmitz with Suzi Perry, Change the format of the show completely, lose the rubbish bit with the curse word rally cross mini and second rate celebs, and start afresh!

Think Evans might soon find himself being dropped like the proverbial hot potato everywhere else too.Don't agree with the whole celebrity witch hunt thing, but, top gear might have a sporting chance without him. Don't like the shouty little git,but fairplay to him if he did actually resign of his own accord

Put Rowan Atkinson up front, a real petrol head and dosent really need to script to make people crack a smile. chris evans came across as false to me, I think he needs a live show to make it work and bounce things off people.

Atmo V8 Power . No slicks , No gas + No bits missing . Doing it in style. Austin A35van, very different------- but still doing it in style, going to be a funmoble

I think Rowan would be great but i very much doubt he would do it . He does not need the money and he is notoriously private , rarely making public appearances . Was he ever on the original TG as a guest ?

Rowan Atkinson is hugely funny, but if you've ever watched any of his standup he's never on stage as 'himself', it's always a character of some description, so whilst he's a chap I have a lot of admiration for, he wouldn't fit the bill.
Chris Barrie does however have some potential for a few madcap motoring hi-jinks, and some odd smeg head references...
