Hey folks,
Back to our irregularly scheduled programming.
This weekend I will mainly be boxing up parts and sending them around the place, wheels and suspension bits mainly. Last weekend I tidied half my garage, got to do the other half now.
Seeing as I've reclaimed my workbench I'm going to make a start on making my new rev counter and speedo fit inside the old dashboard display, I'm not sure how easy it'll be, but I think it should be doable.
What you up to?

Hopefully removing the dash from my Midget for a long overdue respray (to match the orange exterior), once i can manage to get the temp sensor out of the thermostat - likely to require a scaffolding pole on the spanner...
Hopefully fit my new hood to the frame once it gets sprayed tomorrow - assuming the weather is adequate for a quick Hammerite of the frame.
Maybe refit the seats to get them out of the way for a while whilst I'm spraying stuff.
Other than that, my first (proper) 10k road race of 2016 on Sunday, swiftly followed by putting my feet up for the rest of Sunday!

Nothing car relatand for me.
Sorting out the garden wall. Although never done brick work before.
Want to build a pond so need to dig up the flower bed where I want it.
Also need to finish sorting out the garden wall in the front, it's frost damaged so cladding it with feather edge boards.
Also need to take a spin in my escort.

Not much exciting - I'm planning to do an oil change on the BMW, and I might even do one on the MX5 too. I keep threatening to do some work on the Mazda to get it ready for this year's drifting but time has been in short supply lately. I noticed today that the back corner of the sill has gone crusty so that'll need welding. It's only a drift car but better to chop it out even so, in my opinion.

Hoping to get the tyres taken off the Style 16 wheels for the BMW and drop them off at the refurbers Then hoping to find some time to strip the other side of the front suspension on the B and maybe even drop the crossmember too

Potentially busy but we shall see. It will however include: -Grabbing the Turini wheels for the Clio to fit onto it as I drop the wheels off to the refurbers. -Taking the Escort's battery out and recharging it ; it is completely flat. -Ordering some bits for the Escort to complete the car. -Taking the Clio in for an MOT. Hopefully it will pass . If I am lucky I may -Wax the RS Turbo , the Clio's been done with Collinite and it seems to be doing a great job. -Switch the wheels on the Clio. This may however make me sell the Turbines (I feel a thread coming on...) -Attempt to fix the water leaks on the RS Turbo - I really want to refit the interior. -Call a couple of places to see if they can fit my clutch into the RS Turbo potentially install a Quaife ATB ; I've rule out getting a secondhand gearbox with a stock diff as most of them seem to be knackered.

Hopefully getting the Coupe through it's MOT. It failed last November on emmissions, and today has been the first time since then that I've had the enthusiasm to have a look. The plugs, cap & rotor arm all looked like they needed changing and a few sensors were changed so here's hoping. It's also got an oil and water leak and I've found the oil leak so that can be done when the gaskets turn up, as for the water leak who knows ?

Going to meet my mates from alfaowner.com on Sunday morning (though it's at least 4 years since I owned an Alfa).
On Saturday I'm going to start tidying up the tired leather on the driver's seat of my Jag.

I was going to say nothing. Well, obviously I wouldn't say, "I'm doing nothing this weekend", that would be silly. But I didn't expect to be doing anything, until around two minutes ago. On Thursday afternoon, someone very kindly smashed my driver's door mirror. On returning home, I got onto Rimmers and ordered a replacement. It's just arrived. Around 48 hours. Can't complain at that! So, back on topic, tomorrow, I'll be replacing my door mirror glass!

A quiet weekend here. Took the Audi out last night and got a bit of food from Asda, today we had spin out in my lasses e36, other than that I'll stay at home. Most of the weekend is going to be spent drinking magners and looking around on the net for cars, trying to decide what to get for the gathering.
I've been on confused.com a lot running potential cars through to get an idea for insurance costs. Out of interest my avant tdi is £350 fully comp, whereas an Impreza turbo is £250.
I really like 3G preludes and one of those is only £150 to insure. Still looking pop up light Toyotas too, both the Celica and MR2 are around £200 to insure. I don't understand insurance at all, I can't figure out why a tdi avant is £100 more to insure than a turbo Subaru.
What I do need to do is get more stuff on eBay to raise funds to buy another car.

Stripped the rear axle out of the C10 ready for all the saddles etc to be swapped over onto the replacement axle.
Taken pics of odds and ends that I'm clearing out.
Going to spend the evening cutting templates so that I can modify an old C10 tailgate for its new duty as a headboard, then I'll be routing the bedposts ready to receive it.
Contemplating putting some bits n bobs in the F150 to peddle at the Malvern auto jumble but I'll be going anyway even if just for a mooch.
Then I'm going to have a skate to work up a pre-Sunday roast appetite.
