I know a few of you have seen this. But a few haven't, and him deciding to pop down the local Macdonalds in it last night to test the diff worked OK was amusing, so I thought I'd share on here. Started out looking like this. Now looks like this It's running a BMW 2.5 TD engine and it's been built to use to commute. It's not quite finished yet, he wants to move a few things around to get the proportions looking better. It actually drives OK for something designed in the 1920's, it's got the glass back in (and clip ons in the boot). Plans are to build a franken-pump and stick a holset on the engine, as it's not quite fast enough, even with pump and chip tuning.

There's still a way to go with it . The reaction was an interesting one, I've never seen so many camera phones appear or people rubber neck as they drove in. One bloke called his mate, who then drove over from a nearby work site to see what was going on.

Your mate Pete must be some great metalworker to resurrect that, I like that
Has he got a build thread anywhere for it?

He did replace the tub, the body was way far gone and is now in thier pond, but that tub has had some monster repairs too around the front end.
He's not really a fan of forums, but there are details on Facebook on thier page Project Heaven.
There's a website too, but thier bread and butter is historic exotica..

Thats amazing. I've never seen dual wire wheels before. What are they from? He made the wheels. His business partner owns Torino wire wheels, so he used I think. E type wire centers and then made the rest up with their tooling.

Diff is a jag power-loc from a v12 xjs 5.3. Think he squeezed it into a scimitar axle similar to his Capri.

That's awesome! I'd love to build something like that. I like the engine choice too.
