I haven't posted any pictures up of this yet, so I decided it was time. I bought it as a standard 1.8 CVH with a running problem, on Apex lowering springs and polybushed front end. £650 later, it was mine... Now, I've got a bit of a soft spot for sleepers, so the plan is to create a bit of a sleeper with this, standard bumpers, orange indicators, wide wheels (for wider tyres) and wheel trims... So I got straight to work stripping it, revealing only a couple of little holes, nothing major though.. I then made A little purchase on these... And within a few hours, the engine and box were out! And I'm currently working on a few parts to 'brighten up' the engine bay... And finally, it'd be wrong to not post a quick picture or two of the engine donor... And that's about as far as I've got for now... I'll update as/when...

Very nice! Just my sort of car. Did the Sapphires ever come without a boot spoiler? If so, lost the spoiler for extra sleeper-appeal!

Are you considering going 4x4? with a few tweaks to the right hand exhaust it should all fit and would be as fantastic car.

nah it's staying 2wd, i'm removing the spoiler too, the cage and stripped out interior might give it away, but it won't scream in your face at least!

Part of me would love to do something like this, but I just couldn't tear myself away from the pinto! I just love the simplicity.

If you're breaking the Granada and would be interested in selling the automatic gearbox and gearbox loom then let me know, otherwise look forward to reading the updates on this

could very possibly be for sale mate, just need to get it running before i remove the engine/box, but working till 5:30 every night, and not having a big enough garage for the Granada is a killer!

Yeah I know that problem! No worries I'm not in a hurry, I'm more planning for the future here, I have just got a 24v Granada and I plan to tow with it, so inevitably the box is going to die at some stage, so I thought of one came up I'd try and pick it up so I have a spare 'in stock' lol
