Thanks Rob, Yeh, I have spent an awful to of time shaping metal after grinding and cutting a lot of rot out of the car. There has been a few times when I was ready to chuck it to be honest. Lost the mojo for it many times.
Cheers Col.

Lost the mojo for it many times. Cheers Col. Easy to be overfaced by it all. I have to make a list of small things that will contribute. Sometimes 'derust and paint rear lights' is easier to face than 'rebuild steering' whne you only have an hour to spare but can leave you with a good accomplished feeling

Bang on Rob, I've learned not to be overwhelmed by the massive task of restoring/modifying a car anymore and do the little jobs that mount up to the finished product hopefully. Small goals regular accomplished keeps the mojo inline. lol
Cheers Col.

But that's the undercoat. Looks good! What's the deal with legalities and adjustable steering columns like you have done? Over here any non standard column needs to be collapsible, etc. Probably wouldn't be able to use bike clamps either.

The steering column I have fitted is from a Rover 100 and is collapsible at the bottom of the column. The bike clamps are high tensile and can always be swapped over for bolts easily if required. Cheers Col.

Some more progress over the weekend with getting the Imp back on its wheels and rolling it out of the garage for the first time in a long time. Cheers Col.

Something I've had brewing for some time for my Imp and took the plunge last might and made some space for it. Then slipped it in that space on a skateboard as you do. Cheers Col

Thank you. Yeh, Clark has put a lot of work into that conversion and you won't need to cut the bodywork like I have which is important to a lot of people. It also uses the Imp gearbox which had the bonus of having a reverse gear which I won't have to start with. How far on are you with the conversion? Next good to see. Cheers Col

I'm liking this, A quick question, does the rack steer from the rear of the suspension or from the front? I need a rear steer for a project,

Cheers, The trc arms are in front of the suspension. The photo from the underside shows the stainless arms waiting to be attached to the track rod ends and hubs once I fitted them later that day but didn't take a photo of, sorry.

Ahhh, skateboards. Small engine converters dolly of choice. What's your plan for reverse? Probably not a trapdoor you can poke your feet out of and push. Although the car will be light enough.

Not a massive amount achieved over the past few weeks as I have been busy working and trying to raise some cash for the next bout of work on the Imp. Anyway I managed to pick up the coupling for to take the drive from the engine to the differential. Here is the main part of it which I need to weld a very short prop onto then to a flange to the differential. Cheers Col.

Started on the engine cradle this afternoon using 34mm thick wall tubing instead of the usual box section used in most conversions. Not a lot achieved but it's a start. All the engine pick up points have been made and I need to join them all together now :-) Cheers Col
