FOAD from these hallowed page's likes a proton, have not seen his pick-up. The pick up looked cracking in the photos I saw. His group is called RetroShite but the cars have been getting less and less wibblepoo in recent months. He had a Jumbuck too, didn't he? I think there was a thread on here about a Jumbuck and the subject of transplanting Lancer Evo hardware into one came up.

Went to Penang, Malaysia on holiday. Due to high import taxes 95% of cars are Protons. Most have mods though most are stick on Halfrauds/sunday market type tat. LED lights and a loud stezza seemed the most popular upgrade. Loads of the old school boxy Personas about and I managed to hire one! All worked apart from the aircon that was intermittant, not good in 32 degree heat and 95% humidity, and I even went on the motorway to get to a football match as they decided to build a 40,000 stadium in the jungle 30 miles from anywhere. Was a perfect island cruiser and cost me about a tenner a day - bargain!

The Proton Impian (or Waja as its known in its domestic market) shares its underpinnings with the Volvo S40. Volvo S40 coilovers are pretty cheap.......

2 days old.... dealer custom leather option. SatriaSport 14x6 rims - skipped the steelies. Tailpipe simply dissolved so got Ex guy, AAS by Scotswood, to copy Cat-Back in S/S. Lovely mute until you hit 5.5K Leatherette gaiter was a bit raggy.... this is the biggest CV boot I could find in the catalogue (Supra iirc) Street model = No leccy windows up front. The winder went all notchy/missing lift SO I stole the guts out of a Matiz Rear Door & the whole gearing assy was perfect swap (not made of monkeymetal either) These are TRW shocks, for the Satria.... They fit the Savvy rear and are a good upgrade. Sold it at 9years old + 90K, just sailed straight thru MOT. OVIMOR

Knowledge is to know a Tomato is a 'fruit' - Wisdom, on the other hand, is knowing not to put it in a 'fruit salad'!
