It's made by Evercoat and spreads really smoothly.

man youve got some mig wire in that. I'm amazed that anyone went to that much trouble on a riva tbh!
id echo the previous sentiments about the rear lights. i don't like them as they are but with the whole rear panel recess around the lights/number plate done in black a-la a lot of the fiat sports models, i think theyll work a lot better.

It's made by Evercoat and spreads really smoothly. Might have to see if I can get some, it looks really nice to work with. Any particular one from their range? Are you still going with a Golf grille by the way?

The basic filling/ shaping was Evercoat EZ Untra Lite (101342) and the finishing work was Evercoat Easy Sand (101669) flowable polyester blending putty.
It's a lot more work than the car is worth in terms of money but once it's finished I should know pretty much every part of it and I can definitely say that it's mine. My sensible head said cut my losses and buy Dez's car when it came up for sale but in my mind that would always be "Dez's car" no matter what I did with it
There just didn't seem to be anyone cared about the thread on the Lada forum so it just didn't help with motivation. Even if hardly anyone likes the rear lights on here at least it's still feedback and knowing people are looking and taking the time to comment helps keep the project going forward even when I get fed up with it.
Still going for the Golf grill. It's almost there now. Got two grills cut down and bonded together last week.

I'm very very impressed with the work and quality of the work being put in here. could you go a bit more in depth on the epoxy you used for the grille?
thanks...

That front end looks properly badass, it's given the Riva a totally different look.

First time I've seen this thread - hat's off - great job - inspirational
Oh and I would have marked and booked it but bookmarks appear to have vanished - I really like the way it's going - love the front - no so keen on the rear - I don't hate them but I'm with the others black numberplate and light panel may fix that - it's not the round lights it's just the scale they look a little lost!!! Every thing else is just great

The plastic bonder is made by Kent ( www.kenteurope.com/en/ ) and is a 2 pack bonder of some sort that you use a hand pump gun for and it mixes in the nozzle. It's called Turbo Plastic Repair.

The transformation is amazing it looks superp really a viable and affordable alternative to an escort, just needs a twin cam of some sort in the front to finish it off!

Well done on sorting a car that not many people would bother with, I really should get my Riva finished/started other projects seemed to have gotten in the way.
