Hoping this isn't a repost... but a friend of a friend posted this on FB, with the comment that is was taken in 1986/7 but with no more info. Anyone know anything about it. Extensive Googling brings up nothing (it's the kinda thing I'd expect to see on AROnline).  First guess was some kind of mule car - but for what? The Freelander mule was based on a Maestro van. So a disability car? The Metros used are the high roof versions, which is a damn sight easier than raising the whole body. Or is it just a 'photographic aberration'. Hoping someone can shed some light on it... |

Its just a normal metro. Something odds just happened when the photos been taken/developed I second that! I think it has to be deliberate manipulation or else it's real. If the photo were accidentally stretched somehow why is the Sunbeam next to it unaffected? And it wouldn't explain the body coloured filler panel under the headlight. It also appears to have lost the upper swage that would run just under the side repeater. Shame the number plate isn't legible. |

My feeling is that were not looking at a Metro at all. For some reason I think we're looking at a Suzuki. And I think it may be wearing German plates.

Reg is A955 WHO, and its a disability vehicle. Made so a wheelchair user can drive. The driver takes up the front space, hence why the guy is the middle of the car.
