Nice car, just to let you know you can lower the car on Gaz shocks as standard but You will need to make custom hangers to allow travel. If you don't you will have no travel when lowered and itl be bouncing on tyres alone lol. If you look when they arrive itl say not for lowered cars lol great plans will keep an eye on this Yeah, I got a few messages after that too. Oh Well You'll have to come to the local meets chap, Nottingham has a massive classic following and lots happen all year round. ?? |

Just a heads up, keep those original wheels because the cost of refurbishing and re-chroming is going up and up and so they will be pretty sort after soon as no one can buy new and it's too expensive to restore.

Gratuitous update pictures. Spent the afternoon modifying, sanding and priming the new valence (I said it was a Frontline one, but it's actually a cheap knock-off). Will be finishing it in a metallic silver tomorrow morning. Also fitted a new arm rest today. Exciting times!   |

Oh cool, any idea on power output? What are you aiming for with the build? Just a nice road going car or building it for anything in particular?

Where did you get the replica valance from ??
I've got the old ST one on mine at the mo, but I'd like to change if for the Frontline one, preferably with the brake ducts, so long as it's not too expensive.

Phil, I picked it up on eBay for £35. It's fibreglass and wasn't the greatest of fits, but I managed to make it work with some cutting. Off the top of my head, the actual FL one is about £140, so a decent saving made. |

Hmmmmm, ok I'll have to keep an eye out for one on there then. I think it looks a bit more subtle than the ST variety. I'm interested in your suspension mods too, so I'll keep an eye out for your progress. Picture of mine:  Phil. |

Valence painted and fitted. Thought the paint would look a little more silver but it comes out very 'primer-y' in the pictures. Still think it looks good though. Also removed the centre console and some of the wood trim inside. Will take the wheels to be powder coated tomorrow. Hopefully be able to fit them up on Monday.  That looks fantastic - if you're ever in Abingdon come and see us at the MG Car Club... |

I'll be honest, I wasn't entirely sold on the minilites as they're such a 'done thing' on MG's (mine used to have them.. ahem) but in black against yellow paint is very cool  I reckon those tyres sit quite nicely in the arch to me |

Looked at what seemed like every other wheel option but these were the happy medium between cost and looks. Would have loved a set of the Dunlop reps as per the Frontline cars, but they are mental money. |

That is looking lovely with the black Minilites. It should hopefully be a little more refined and handle a little better too!
I see you came across the same issues I did regarding the fitment of FG parts. I also had to hack about the valance on my 'B and the front wings were laughable in fit. To quote someone here the wings in hindsight were only fit for the bin!
