How are our car weekends looking this weekend?
On advice from the Tuesday Progress thread I went and got some floor levelling latexconcretething stuff, so I can sort the garage floor better.
Sunday I may venture to the Queens Square meet in Bristol.
What you up to?

I've taken the noise complaints on board, then made my car louder so I definitely cant hear them complaining now. To prove it works I'm going to park it in the middle of a load of posh supercars at Malton and blast old dance tunes at them.

Picking up a pair of Pinto engines for free, might start bashing on the front end of the 142 so i can put it back on again. And i've decided to stop supporting any local car parts business, as they cant get the frikkin part i need, they are expensive as curse word, and all they come up with is china\polish curse word parts. I can get that at 1\10th the price on ebay myself.

Off to Woodford aerodrome to watch the Vulcan xh558 make one of its last ever flights Used to live just near there when the Vulcans and Victors were a regular sight. Thought it had gone for development now? Scrap my last post, hernia op worse than it was supposed to, still in hospital down in deepest Kent,, just been told no driving for 6 weeks:( and no work for up to 4 weeks, bored already and in to much pain, on the plus side I've got RR and a load of classic car mags to read! Ouch. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. On the car front? Well, nowt really. I've been told that my interior bits, ordered in April from the States, are actually on their way here. Via a slow boat to China I think.

Went to RAF Cosford today to see the Vulcan and ended up parked beside a R1 Nimrod. I've bailed out of the Bathurst 1000 as tomorrow I will mostly be watching the WEC from Fuji. Really excited to see this VC10 being put back together. This entered service the same year the moggy was born. Another reason for my excitement is that one of my mates flew this & Tristars out of Brize but has now converted onto more capable but somewhat less exciting Voyagers.

I just sold a car to a member on here, always good to meet another member even if he's not local. Lunch with my parents now and then back to the workshop to help my pal make space for the Beetle he just bought.

The Charger passed its MOT on Friday, so I picked it up on Saturday and went for a drive! Been off the road for a decade. Very happy, to say the least. After sinking so much time and money into it I was concerned that it might turn out to be a bit uninspiring (or have further hidden issues), but it drives far better than I ever expected. It's got some serious muscle, too! Didn't get to spend much time with it this weekend, though, so I'm looking forward to next weekend already.
