Has anyone got up-to-date information on the fuel situation in France at the moment? If there's none I'd need to go via Portsmouth -> Caen/Cherbourg filling up just before getting on the ferry. Or maybe take a modern car (haven't done the calculation on whether that could make it from Calais yet).
Is it all pickets, burning tyres and 1 hour queues for rationed petrol or is it exaggerated in the media?

Howdy guys!
So i'm getting excited now! Just about to book tunnel tickets and wondered if anyone was planning or fancied meeting up maybe not far into france so we can have a bit of a convoy to Lemans? Or maybe a detour via some 'refreshment' purveyors if you know what I mean :-D

Think we're gonna pop into Paris for a cold one - according to the map it's only a couple of inches away!

I'd advise avoiding Paris like the plague; it added a good couple of hours to our trip to la Sarthe last year even just going around the outer ring road (we came from Germany)

Hope it's okay to post this here HW - if not, please move.
Due to a family illness, I won't be able to go to the Classic Le Mans this year.
This means that I have some tickets available at a discount.
4 X 3 day entry tickets - usual price €53 / £41 each, yours for £30 each
4 X 3 day paddock passes - usual price €35 / £27 each, yours for £20 each
3 X 3 day parking in the Rouge car park - €18 / £14 each, yours for £10 each
Offers on the whole lot will attract further discount.

have just received tickets, is there elecric hook-ups for the tents ? There isn't. There is a central recreation room type area that has power if you need it. What were you thinking of hooking up?

Well, like a Numpty I took my Stag apart to fit a new external belt driven water pump, got most of it back together then decided I might like to throw myself of my motorbike-on my drive way! Result, dislocated collar bone and a Stag unfinished! I'm hoping my mate can sort it out and get it ready. He will also have to drive my car there and back. Feel a bit of a plonker.
Anyhoo, hoping to make it over on the Friday, look out for a red stag and a passenger with his arm in a sling!

Finally booked my ferry Portsmouth to Caen on Friday at 8:something ... so a 6am start for me on the Friday ... and again on the Monday on the way back as I'm on the 8:something from Caen to Portsmouth ... if you see me, I'll probably be asleep!
