Hi guys, I have recently bought a 1993 Jaguar XJ40
Everything was going swimmingly and I was enjoying Radio 2 perfectly, I parked the car, turned it off, and when I turned it back on the Headunti was totally dead!?
The security light still flashes, but the Headunit doesn't power up, and the aerial doesn't raise, has anyone got any ideas? I have a 300 mile drive at the end of the week and it's going to be very dull if I can't get it sorted.
Cheers Everyone!

If it doesn't turn on at all, I'd imagine the only culprits could be the ignition live to the radio or the earth? so may be worth checking those to make sure the radio is getting power
If the fuse had blown you'd get a little lightning strike symbol warning light come up on the dash, unless theres an extra fuse in the back of the headunit itself? I never took the radio out of mine so thats all I can think of at the moment :/

Thanks for that, I've got the centre console in bits, but without a wiring diagram I'm pretty snookered, i think I need someone who knows a little more than me about electrics, I don't think a hammer will fix this

This is the wiring diagram for the audio system for 1993-1994 cars according to the Haynes manual Hope that helps? I'm not great with electrics either!
