	I ended up with this as part of a debt payment and was just gonna tart it up and sell on. However i've always liked them, I knew all its good and bad bits and I reckoned it'd make an awesome summer cruiser. Plus 2015 is the year of the minitruck, can't forget that. So, this is what we had (library photo) Mine was reasonably battered having spent its life on a farm, the paint was falling off or patchy primer so it needed a full respray. Did a lot of googling for inspiration (for months, as it was sat on a mates drive so I couldn't work on it) and eventually came up with this..... A rare and unusual coat of Satin Black. The paint was Montana Black 400ml tins, it took 5 cans to cover the whole car. I straightened the bodywork out as best I could, leaving only the drivers door and tailgate needing replacement. I also chopped the front wings out and added some tinted side repeaters from a Prelude that were left over from my brothers CRX build. Total Paint Cost so far - £70 (16 cans of Montana paint posted)

	No one spends months deliberating over colours to end up with satin black, so the next step was to go on ebay and buy a roll of low tack vinyl. With a bit of drawing, cutting and sticking, plus some masking, then getting my artist on with the colours we arrive at this. Well known for building subtle cars me. Total paint cost so far: £86 (16 cans of Montana, roll of vinyl) - I had masking tape in stock, I recommend the Metro newspaper for masking as its free and thats about all its good for.

	I also gave the bits behind the rear bumper a coat of black Hammerite to hide them. And then cracked on adding a 2nd alternator. I've got a huge stack of audio equipment to go in, and fitting a 2nd alternator is cheaper than running a split charge system. Used a 110amp renault alternator I got of ebay for chump change and chopped the old towbar up for brackets. Think in total it stands me at about £20 to fit in including the new belt (which isnt fitted in the photos). And finally some sunny shots from the other day. Still got lots to do. Wheels, tyres and rideheight need to be adjusted plus a myriad of other stuff.

	Much much lower. But still with 15x10s, 30mm spacers and some 225/50s stretched on.
